We had a wonderful experience visiting Zarpara at their vineyard location just outside the town of Willcox. We enjoyed the warm hospitality and casual environment. The owner poured for us and was very interesting to listen to. They had a few specials, and we left with 5 bottles to enjoy later. As the reds got heavier, we enjoyed them all the more. They were also dog friendly, which was great. Go and enjoy!

Stopped by before camping in the Chiricahuas and couldn't have had a more relaxing experience. It was around 95 degrees, but the shaded patio was still enjoyable. The syrah and graciano were our favorites. Were very flexible in allowing us to bring in a packed lunch, and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Finally, there is a sweet dog that's more than happy to keep you company, which is always a plus.

We enjoyed our time here immensely. For the region in Willcox, it is a push between Zarpara and a nearby competitor. We came in the summer, which is a good time as it is not crowded and you can actually engage the owners.Twyla and I had a great tasting and enjoyed the company of our Scottish tour guide. The tasting room is super inviting and no matter who walks in, friendship hits the table right away.#irishcatv2 #vinosquared #vino2 #vino2ultimate #twylytephotography #zarpara #zarparavineyardsThe owners are kind and let us cruise the perimeter of the vineyards to take photos of the v and nes and grapes. We enjoyed the whole line up. There is a lot of pride in the bottle here. It is a little bit of a drive ft. Rom Phoenix but well worth the experience. Come see them and get a glimpse into the AZ Wine Scene. It is a blast!

This is one of my favorite wineries and vineyards.Rhona and Mark the owners and winemakers are also usually working the tasting rooms and you drive through the vineyard to reach the tasting rooms and can admire the well tended vines. Fully their friendly rescued black lab might greet you and accompany to the door. Bring a picnic but a glass or bottle or case of wine and enjoy the views of the Chiricahuas from their patio . I like almost all their wines but highly recommend their viogner, their Monastrell ,the rosado. Unlike some wine makers that excel at only a white or red they do a superior job on bothe reds whites and rose. Take the time and enjoy the day at their winery.

Zarpara is always one of my favorite places to visit while in Willcox. It's a bit of a drive, so try to do this one first or second on your route so you can practice safe driving ;) Their vineyard dog, Tilly, will meet you at your car and escort you to the front door. The staff here is laid back and chatty. The tasting room has a good, social vibe and we always find ourselves making friends with whoever else is tasting with us. They have nice little pita bread bites, (which I know aren't supposed to be fed to Tilly, but I just can't help it!) and although they do not have a license to sell food, they can offer pre-packaged cheeses and crackers which come in handy if you have an empty stomach. They just released Mosaico which is a really nice blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Try it! As always, we really enjoy the Origen which is a Garnacha based wine.

Zarpara was so much fun! We were on our way to Bisbee and driving through Willcox, we saw a billboard that said "Try the Willcox Wineries!" So we made a detour and went to five different wineries and had a simply delightful day trying wine and meeting new people. This place was great. They have the greatest dog EVER who is so sweet and lovey, and the person doing the tasting was nice and personable and let us stay a good 45 minutes after they closed so we could finish our tasting comfortably and never even mentioned the time to us, just so we wouldn't feel rushed. I definitely recommend the syrah. As it turns out, Arizona can make some amazing syrahs. Apparently the grape needs to be very hot during the day and very cold at night, so really, the middle of the Arizona desert is perfect! This was the last winery that we tried in Willcox, and I have to say, we couldn't have ended on a better note.

Had an opportunity to visit the winery a few weeks ago and tasted through several of their red wines. We were greeted by Rhona, an owner who was very pleasant and related the story about how she and her husband started the vineyard and winery. It is clearly a labor of love. They use a combination of estate grown and sourced grapes and I found their reds full bodied, rich and flavorful with a long finish. Their tasting room is about 15 minutes from the center of town and well worth a visit in you're in the area.

Stopped by while visiting Willcox a couple of weeks ago. Loved their wine so much we joined their wine club! Enjoyed a tasting on their patio which overlooks the vineyards. Had a great time talking to the owner and finding out more about wine making. Very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. The dog is fun, too!

So sweet to be welcomed by Tillie, the vineyard dog! We loved sitting on the patio in comfy chairs while we sampled five wines--so relaxing. My favorite was the Odisea, but we did not love it enough to buy a bottle to take home. The price was very reasonable--five samples for $8.00.
