I needed a quick hair cut and did not want to spend the 35$ I normally spend. So I took a risk and went in here. Parking was easy and comfortable. I walked in and the girl who greeted me was a little rude or maybe I just didn't hear her first greeting. I eventually got we'll be with you shortly sign in blah blah. So here's a pointer for next time, walk in and sign in and someone will get to you. They do not take appointments! Overall of the interior, the waiting area is okay. You have a view of the products and the stations. Couches. And for anyone ever looking, they carry Johnny B product. I signed in and waited. I was next. A girl greeted me after cleaning up her station. I never caught her name. I sat down and we went right in for it. I described what I wanted done and she complied. I wanted an above the shoulder cut with a little extra length through the front and some layers through the back. Perfect cut. I left with wet hair (which I know is a big mistake) but when I got home and my hair was dry and styled it was perfect. I paid nine dollars. I forgot to show my military ID. But it was a fair price with what I got.

I looked in the mirror and saw the older white male El Paso version of Teen Wolf. So, I headed down to one of the places I trust most in this world...the barber/hairstylist/hair salon....call it what you may, they keep us all from reaching messy shagdom. And let's face it, a bad stylist can put a serious crimp in your style until the mess grows out again, or until you pull a Sinead O'Connor and take it all off. Well, I have found the remedy for this: Yes We Do on Edgemere.I moved to the Eastside about 8 years ago, and was in need of finding a new trusted person, since driving across town to find my old hairstylist Marilu, was no longer a valid option. My schedule did not work well with the business hours of the other place, too far to drive, not enough time, traffic, etc, etc. You get my drift. Anyhoo, I was looking for something near to the house with a person capable of pleasing my very peculiar wants and being able to truly smile when I walked out of the place...not this whole "I'm not totally happy but I'll smile at everyone in the place and then when I get in the car, look in the mirror, frown at the results and regret my decision". For the past 8 years I have trusted Brenda and Myrna with the hair on my head, plus that on the heads of my children. I have never received a "bad cut" from them. Ever. And the trick here is that you have to be honest about what you want from the get-go, and honest when the job is done. There were a couple of times that I wasn't pleased with something specific, but they were able to fix it before I left. Let's all be honest folks--these ladies that cut and style our hair are MAGICIANS...I mean, some of us have heads shaped like exotic fruit and there are so many different hair types and hair growth patterns....for the love of GOD, my brother-in-law had a hairline that began about 2 inches above his eyebrows, when he was younger; yet these hair experts are able to make-do with what sits down in their chair and create a cut that works well for the person, allowing them to walk out happy.My son had his hair cut by Martha, who is is go-to gal. He is always eager to get his hair trimmed up since she introduced him to a new style a few months back.I had my hair cut by Alyssa, today, since Myrna and Brenda were both busy. I got a trim with a shampoo, and when all was said and done, I asked Brenda, "What else am I lacking? I'm keeping my nose and ear hair at bay, what else do I need?" She said " Your eyebrows are too bushy. You need a trim." So Alyssa and Brenda helped me there, too. You see, in my 8 years coming here, I have always gotten honest advice and have always been pleased with the results.Yes, the place is very clean. Floors are immaculate and being swept constantly. The bathroom is clean. Employees are kind and professional. They offer a variety of services, sell salon products. They participate in the FIVESTARS program. Yes, they are what you would expect in a hair salon.But if you want to trust someone else with your hair and feel good walking out, go here. Or if you're not sure what works well or what style you should get next, go here. Or for an honest consultation about "what else am I missing?", these ladies will be honest with you. 8 years now, and they haven't let me down yet...and I don't ever expect them to.

This has been a while in the making, I went in due to losing some hair after my pregnancy and before I went in I called an asked for a first chair and asked if they're able to do a long pixie/ long Mohawk as it was the first time going short. they assured me all of their hair stylists were more than qualified to give me what I needed. Needless to say the lady took less than 5 mins chopped off all my hair to a very short pixie styled completely unlike what I had shown them. I showed them two pictures and told them I wanted something like that and to make it as feminine as possible. I wasn't asked how long at the top she just snipped away while chatting to her co worker and I left 5 mins later trying to maintain composure and not break down. Thanksgiving was a week later I've had to spend well over $700 now just to try and fix what they've left me with and all I was offered was a refund-$8 and maybe another cut. ( I blacked out my face due to me crying so much I looked horrible). I hope this helps you guys before you make your decision of who to go to .

Second time going here..... first time I was absolutely satisfied and completely happy with my haircut.... TODAY not at all. I got home to style my hair and see the outcome 100% and it is not at all how I pictured my hair would look. I asked for it to be fixed while there and instead of giving more of an angle for my bob, she cut ALL of it shorter. So it doesn't look like a cute bob at all. The girl is brand new and took 2 and a half hours because she just didn't have the experience to do it confidently. I gave her the benefit of a doubt because everyone has to start somewhere, but next time I'll make sure I see the same girl I did before. Honestly I'm probably going to call them tomorrow and ask for it to be fixed. Even if that means I have to pay again. I also asked for my eyebrows to be done but I opted out when I found out she was going to do them. From now on I'm going to do interviews for people to cut my hair

Yes We Do should be changed to No We Don't. I just moved to El Paso and called to make an appointment when I noticed on the website you could only book color, a $2 test, or an updo. The girl who took my appointment asked did I want to get my haircut? I said yes. She took my info and she booked me for an appointment the same day. I go there and the hairdresser was very nice. She did a dry cut and showed me a mirror. Then I realized she was not going to wash my hair. So I asked her if she could wash and style it. She said sure but just know it costs extra. I said that's fine. After she washed my hair and sat me in the chair to do my hair, she asked what did I want? I said let's curl it. She asked soft or tight curls? I said soft curls please. Another customer walks in and checks in at the front. The girl at the front told my hairdresser she had an appointment soon. My hairdresser explained I asked her to style and curl it. Then the girl who works as the receptionist asked me if I booked an updo when I made the appointment. I said no I did not ask for an updo. I asked her to style and curl my hair. She then tells me the hairdresser cannot curl my hair but she can dry it. I said no thank you, I'll just leave with a wet head. She said are you sure? I said yes. Why would I pay to have my hair blown out when I wanted it curled? I tipped the hairdresser over 40% but I won't go back there ever again.

This is the worst place to go! I didn't catch the name of the lady who cut my hair, but I can tell you she has red hair. She was rude and unprofessional. She pulled out a lot of my hair. She should NOT be cutting hair!!! I hope the other employees that work there are nothing like her. My experience doesn't even deserve one star.
