Where are you Yellow Bird??? You installed an air conditioner in October. I turned it on for the first time in April and it shorts out. When I call your number it goes to The Air Conditioning company who says you went out of business and left no forwarding address. Also.....they do not honor your service contracts. Where are you? This company has a bad case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. A technician came to open up a newly installed geothermal HVAC unit. He declined because he said that he didn't know what type of gas that was within the unit. After a few calls, Three weeks later, another tech comes by and opens it up - no problem right?? Except he didn't check or was told that the geothermal unit needed it's gases to be drained and replaced with refrigerant. BOOM now my high priced, quality HVAC doesn't work- in the middle of the hottest time of the year. IT TAKES A WEEK TO COME BACK AND FIX THEIR MESS UP. In 110

I have a rental property with a HVAC service contract thru Yellow Bird. My tenants contacted them when their furnace stopped working. J.D., the service technician, showed up promptly to troubleshoot and fix the problem. This review is mainly to express how very impressed and satisfied I am with his professionalism and customer service. J.D. called me out of state and gave me a very easy to understand explanation on what he thought was the potential problem with the furnace (bad inducer assembly). He located a spare part, installed it, and the furnace started working again. Not only did he fix the immediate issue, but J.D. went above and beyond when he noticed the furnace & duct work was not anchored down appropriately, which was causing additional noise to the unit. He anchored them down at no extra charge. J.D. also noticed that the placement of the thermostat was not in an ideal location and was probably the reason the heater kept shutting off before reaching the set temperature in the house. He recommended re-locating the thermostat at some point in the future and advised the tenants to simply set the thermostat a few degrees higher as a quick fix. I highly recommend J.D. for any HVAC work. He was patient with all my questions & concerns, super knowledgeable and a good teacher (I know nothing about furnaces), and he left a good impression with my tenants as well. Yellow Bird owners take note: You should put J.D. at the top of your list when dispatching technicians for service calls. The quality and professionalism of J.D.'s work reflects highly on your company and is sure to keep your customers loyal and will help bring new customers to your business!

Yellowbird was recommended by a friend for installation of HVAC and solar panels. As soon as we said "Yes" the crews were here to begin the installation. All went smoothly and the benefits of replacing the swamp cooler immediately showed up. Our electric bill dropped to nearly Zero , and because the sun is free and water is becoming more scarce in our area, we now have air conditioning that costs next to nothing and losing the swamp cooler is better for the environment. Did I mention our federal tax bill went to zero for more than 2 years. Thank you Yellowbird.

I had a geo thermal system installed by one hour. Which is the same company as yellow bird. The system never worked right. Every year they had to install more Freon cuz it leaked out. The owner Rocky is a terrible business owner! instead of fixing the problem they just put bandaids on it and dumped more Freon into it. I would not recommend yellow bird to my worst enemy.

Unfortunately, we have to give this review. This company installed a geothermal unit a few years back. I love that it is energy efficient. But, it has had a number of maintenance issues. That is to be expected with new technology. But, the service fees have become ridiculous. Most recently, a thermostat is not working. Yellow bird charged over $250 ($89 dispatch fee plus flat $159) to come out and reset thermostat (basically reprogramming a digital thermostat). That fixed the problem for a day. They wanted to charge us $250 again to come out and check it again. Who charges like that when the problem is not fixed?

The absolute worst business I've ever had to deal with. The equipment they sold us 7 years ago has required major maintenance every year beyond the normal maintenance and now our unit needs a new compressor or to be completely replaced. Should a unit last longer than 7 year? Run, as fast as you can away from this company...it will be the best thing you've ever done!

Very sad that this company doesn't even follow what their website says about the respect they have for their customers. This company has been a nightmare to work with. Their employees hit and damaged our septic line which we were told they would pay to fix, never heard from them so we went ahead and fixed it, gave them the invoice for the repairs, we were expected to receive a check in the amount of the repairs this was about 2 weeks ago, still haven't received any check I keep getting the run around about the check, so then we cancelled the solar panels because well if they are this bad with their air conditioning and they don't respect our property or our time as they say they do on the website why in the heck do I wanna get solar panels from them.....so now I have to be credited for the solar panels and they are refusing to response regarding the credit and the financing on just the geothermal unit......at this point if I don't hear back from them I guess we are hiring an attorney and going for more than just the $900 check they owe us and credit to the financing company.1/22/2020We got our check but we decided not to do solar panels and we cancelled those early September until this day we are paying for solar panels not installed on our home..... now owner is giving me a run around on our tax credit papers..... and he wants me to settle for a check less than what the solar panels are worth!2/3/2020So I did not receive my tax credit forms that the owner supposedly would have sent out Wednesday....I called today and no one could give me answers whether my forms got sent out or NOT....these forms are the only things i am waiting for to file my taxes to receive my tax credit for my geothermal unit we are paying for....this shit show has been terrible.... i hate dealing with these people i seriously just want my forms so i can never speak to them again or deal with all their horrible service and run around bullshit!2/27/2020So we received our forms after I had to hound them at the office and actually physically stop by since they like to ignore customers. When we got our forms they had a three thousand dollar increase which I called them out on it and got some bullshit excuse that it was the price of the geothermal bundled with solar since that was originally what we wanted but I thought bundles were suppose to save you money....... I told him I would not sign and they needed to be corrected so I dropped them back off at their office this was on the 18th of this month. I have yet to receive a text or call that my papers are ready. I have texted to see if they are ready and no response. This business and owner are unprofessional and disrespectful to people they dont like. My next step if I dont receive a response soon is reporting to the better business bureau. I have exhausted my energy into this company I just want my forms so I can do our taxes and not deal with them EVER

I purchased what they called a GeoThermal heating and cooling unit at the Las Cruces Home and Garden show. The install went well, and the unit worked, though my electric bill "savings" were non existant. I paid ALOT for this unit.Fast forward a few years later, and after being told I had a leak from three different techs, and then having their leak specialist come out to find the leak, the specialist spent over 4 hours and told me there was no leak. He flat out said that he could find no leak, nor any evidence of a leak. After fighting with their management, that wanted to charge me in excess of $500 for their leak service, I decided to drop Yellowbird completely, as of 2021.This year, I had a competing service out to check the AC unit. First, they found the leak in 10 minutes. Then, I come to find out that the unit that was sold to me at an exorbitant price, was not in ANY way a GeoThermal unit. It is actually a water cooled compressor AC unit. They also informed me that I would be lucky to get a few more years of service from this unit, which is barely 7 years old, and until today, never touched by anyone other than a Yellowbird technician. Apparently, the service contract I renewed every year did not include anything other than an look at the unit. No actual service maintenance.In my opinion, after 7 years of dealing with this company, they are shady, untrustworthy, and they charge waaaaay more than some of their competitors. They do not do the work you pay them for, and their office manager is a flat out jackass. I have to take some of the blame for not doing due diligence on this company, but it is no surprise that they rate so low.If they sold you something that they presented as a "GeoThermal" unit, have it checked out. I can pretty much guarantee that it is the same type of unit was sold, which again is NOT geothermal, but a water cooled compressor AC.Maybe if enough people have been scammed by this company, we can get a class-action going. One can hope.
