There are over 40,000 second hand and rare books in this shop! It's also like a narrow maze, like something out of a time capsule in decades long before today, which made me feel nostalgic for the 90's. I was also happy to hear that they do sell their books online through Biblio and eBay as well (under Xochi's)Though most of the books are non-fiction, there are beautiful collectibles in wonderfully bound and printed hard copies. In the front by the door is the most beautiful selection of fiction, I'm so happy I stopped in and picked up this golden-edged hardcopy of The Tale of Two Cities!Stan is a wonderful human for donating books to the community and providing wonderful selections of free books outside his store at any given point for the local adults and children.Brett is a great local to chat with and was very helpful in trying to help me locate the books that I was searching for. He was very interesting and fun to chat with while perusing the front of the bookstore maze!

Wonderful collection of old books, including rare, art, and a few maps. They also sell online, an employee told me. But it's fun just to wander though their rooms and rooms or bookshelves.

Best bookstore I've been too!! Especially if you like historical. They have many rate and unable to find choices. Stop in and smell the smell of old books and feel the nostalgia present.

Like everyone else said, this place is a book lover's dream. You can tell that everything is chosen with a good eye and a love for books. Walked in to browse and walked out with $135 worth of books, but it was well worth it! Great finds and expertly organized.

A used-book lover's dream! A dark, dusty labyrinth full of unique treasures and oddities. Everything from cheap paperbacks, to bizarre medical textbooks ("disorders of the rectum and anus," anyone?), to rare books. Surprisingly good Spanish and art book sections. Low prices. A quiet place to spend an afternoon browsing. 'Ta bueno!

We popped into this store while walking down the row of shops and it's like something out of a book lover's dream. When I was a little girl I wanted the Beast's library that he opened up to Belle- as an adult I'd settle for the beautiful, tome packed rooms of Xochi's.

Rude! Rude! Rude!We have bought so many books from here. Never again.A scruffy bearded man, was just so rude, we will never We drove my 90 year old mother to town so she could go to this book store. We arrived at 10:45 AM, and the guy announced he was closing shortly. I explained we just wanted to buy a book, we would be quick. He told us to go to the other book store in town. There isn't any other book store in town that was open. He yells, "the thrift store!"If you don't want customers, don't have a retail store with an open sign!!!

This store has an amazing selection of books. All subjects, genres and a wide range of publishing dates. The books are old, nearly new, out of print and everything in between. I try and stop in when I pass through town to take a break from driving and when I do-I am richly rewarded. This store has been in business for decades and they consistently treat their customers well.

That irresistible musty used book smell permeates this little gem of a rat maze, filled with high quality used books. It's like the Library of Alexandria inside. Highly recommend.

I was so excited see used book store right downtown. As I walked in the front door I could see there were many many books to look through. I was then told that I could not bring my purse into the store with me. If my purse is big enough to put a book inside I was required to leave my purse at the front desk. I wanted to look around so I took my wallet and my cell phone out of my person left it at the front desk. Upon looking through the books I saw that they are very overpriced and really don't have books on New Mexico history or Native American history. I assumed being in the middle of the desert Southwest they would have a nice collection of books like that to choose from. The store is not well organized they just group the books according to one subject and put them all in a room there's no kind of organization within the room . Nearly impossible to find what one may be looking for specifically. I will not be returning to the store. Not only because of their high prices and selection. But because I cannot carry a handbag into the store with me. I understand stores want to cut down on theft but come on. This is just a ridiculous store policy especially since they don't have anything worth stealing. I will take my business to other used book stores.
