We decided to try this place on a whim a couple of days ago. We were very pleasantly surprised. As both my husband and myself were looking for gluten free vegan there are not really a whole lot of options here in Las Cruces. I checked the menu online before we went and saw they do have a dedicated GF menu AND a dedicated vegan/vegetarian menu. Atmosphere is dated and could use a refresh, but I'm not holding that against them since they are getting 5 stars from us across the board in every other category, which are the ones that really count. Not only were there plenty of options for us to choose from despite our narrow dietary restrictions, the staff was extremely accommodating in presenting options and making suggestions to us once they understood our restrictions. It was lunchtime and we each ordered a combo plate with rice noodles and we got an order of fried rice to share with that. The portions were very generous, and the food was delicious! Service was friendly and fast. We enjoyed it so much that when the owner came over to check on us and we were chatting with him, we placed an additional entire take-out order based on his recommendations and the recommendations of our server. This was great as I needed a break from cooking this week and I saw an opportunity. We had some of our take-out yesterday and again we were not disappointed. We were so pleased to have discovered a place that we can eat within our dietary restrictions and really enjoy the food. My favorite was the black bean tofu, but also I very much enjoyed the orange tofu, the tofu broccoli, the mixed sauteed vegetables and the veggie lo mein. The owner is also recommending the curried tofu to us but we have not tried it yet, although we plan to. Overall, I am very happy to be able to give this restaurant my stamp of approval. I am sorry I did not take any photos. Perhaps I will be able to add them next time as we will definitely be back!

The services was quick and friendly. That's the only reason I gave it a star.The food was horrible. The Lo mein were just some fettucini noodles. The moo goo gai pan had very little chicken or mushrooms it was in a bland flavorless sauce and the vegetables were completely mushy.And this was in the middle of the day. $15.00 in the trash

Not great but definitely decent. I usually order the Mongolian beef which is very tasty but there are way too many onions and very little beef. Their hot and sour soup is delicious! Best in Las Cruces which isn't the best compliment since good Chinese is scarce.

Love this place. The wontons are off the hook. All the Chinese food is authentic. The pizza is even good too! This is my favorite place in las cruces

This place is gooooood ! They have a gluten free and vegan menu , so awesome !!! I recommend their lemon chicken (or tofu), jalapeno chicken , mapo tofu. Their portions are a generous size for a great price.

New owner 04/2022, new friendly staff, updated menus. Husband had Daily Special #2 with General Tso Chicken, a spring roll and really good brown rice (not fried rice but brown versus white) I had Spicy Garlic Butter Fish which was great! You must try to get delicious Chinese food.The owner is friendly and asks how your food was, he even cleared a table and chatted with us.

Best to check what they feed you. Kitchen would not pass a health inspection. They got our order completely wrong then argued with me when I called in. I'm done with them and encourage anyone who cares for food from a clean kitchen to do the same.

I wanna preface this review with a couple of facts, Both my wife and I served several years in the food industry, So we try to be really lenient with staff/food etc... because we understand food industry is tough. But I went here with the wife on a recommendation from one of her co workers. After the trip I came here to warn others of my experience, and if you want a better restaurant, Golden Star is a much better pick in town.The one positive I've got is the crab Rangoon was really good, but from here out not so much.I had initially arrived before my wife to place the order, it felt like the waitress was actively ignoring me, up until my wife sat down, despite me asking to place the order early to have it ready for her lunch break.The tap water arrived and I wouldn't have taken more then a mouthful, it tasted almost stale and neither me nor my wife even began to drink our glasses. Luckily they had tea instead.So we placed our order. It arrived quick enough. But thats when the problems started. I had ordered a combo with Chicken chop suey, lo mein, and some sweet and sour pork. First, the entire dish was covered in shitake mushrooms. Nowhere on the menu did it indicate this info. The mushrooms had even been mixed in with the lo mein chop suey and even on the pork. The dish completely inedible to me, I was willing though to just send it back and sit while my wife finished hers. I had set the plate on the edge of the table to indicate to the waitress I wasn't super happy, but then she proceeded to chat up some of her "Regulars" (I imagine based totally on how long she talked with them all while waving me off). I kept trying to get her attention when the gal cleaning up the tables had to get our waitress for me.I proceeded to let her know the mushrooms just were making it taste awful and I didn't want any of it. She then says "You should have asked what was in it if you didn't like mushrooms". Which then I proceeded to ask "Why is this info not on the menu?" Most other restaurants include this info, as to help with you know... allergies, foods people to don't like.She says "Oh they give me a bunch of cards that tells me whats in everything, you should've asked."My wife at this point has kinda reached her limit at this point, and just asks for the check. Because we were still planning covering the cost of the eaten food. We brought back the ticket and the whole meal was charged out, even though I didn't eat any of mine because it was awful. We let the (I'm gonna assume) Manager on duty know, but she gave a very similar "You shoulda asked" like the waitress.Well at this point if you've read this review, if you're asking me, Avoid this place like the plague. I RARELY post reviews and only when I feel especially screwed over by a store/business will I post. But in this instance, if I can save 1 person a bad meal, go find another restaurant. As both of us who worked in the food service industry, we will NEVER be going back.

My husband and I are gluten-free and vegan. They have a complete menu of most of their dishes available to be made-to-order gluten-free or vegan or both. Everything was fresh-tasted amazing and the owner spoke with us about the food options. He is very passionate about his restaurant

I grew up eating 2nd gen Sichuan food when we got take out, when I was little. Let me tell you, when I crave a taste of home, this is where I go. The staff is polite but busy. I think that's a green flag. Love this place!
