As a disabled person, I can understand an office getting busy when dealing with medical "stuff". So the problem I had was not having to wait 46 minutes past my appointment time, to get called back to start being seen... even though I got there early to fill out paperwork, and it was supposed to be a simple eye exam.My thoughts on this are if you don't have the time for patients when their appointment is scheduled, then either don't schedule them or warn them of the wait.My problem with place was the assistant having the gall to say "do you need to reschedule, because we have a lot of people in the waiting room." And the reason he said this? I got a phone call about a minute after I got called back. Mind you the phone call was an important one having to do with other medical issues I have. After having me wait 46 minutes past my appointment he felt "his time" was more important than mine and couldn't wait the 30 seconds to a minute for me to finish the call... even though he was still doing stuff that didn't require my "attention".The doctor was decent though, friendly, and good mannered. They were pretty busy though so expect a wait. People need to temper their sense of self importance. The only thing that annoys me more is when you see the sign in the waiting room "appointments that are canceled within 24 hours from the scheduled time will be charged". If you see one of those, just leave.

Terrible Service! I received a text from the West Texas Eye Associates reminding me of an appointment. I figure it was a follow-up appointment as I had been there 4 months earlier. When I arrived, I signed in and took a seat. One of the MANY women that work the front desk called me up and asked me why I was there. I proceeded to tell her that I had received a text reminding me of an appointment. As I was explaining, another front desk women abruptly interrupted me and starting telling me in a very confrontational and condescending manner that I didn't have an appointment and that even though I had received a text the appointment should had been cancelled. So there was no reason for me to see the doctor. Even though I was extremely upset due to this employer's lack of customer service and rudeness, I turned around and left this disturbing situation. I will never go back. Unfortunately, I selected this location 4 months ago because my insurance had it on their list of approved optometrists.

I have been a patient of West Texas Eye Associates for many years and am totally satisfied with the care and treatment I have received from the Doctors and Staff associated with this Clinic. Within the last two months I have had cataract surgery on both eyes, performed by Dr. Carlos Vasquez and the results have been great. Thank You Doctors and Staff for everything you have done for me and my wife throughout so many years. God Bless You All.

My son's primary doctor recommended that he get his eye exam here. It took about two months for him to get seen due to the number of patients they have. It might have also been because of Covid/safety precautions. The service was alright but could've been a little bit better. Nobody told me that I needed some other forms for the visit. The front office made me call my son's doctor (Dr. Rana Kronfol, which btw is pretty excellent) when we were waiting there. Good thing they answered and were able to fax over the forms quickly. If not, they probably would've rescheduled the appointment. There was kind of a lot of back and forth to finally see the doctor. We were moved from one room to the other, another lobby. The doctor recommended that my son get reading glasses. They gave us the prescription but we still had to go somewhere else to buy the glasses. It would be great if they sold the glasses here but they don't. No biggie. All in all it was an OK appointment. I'm going to say it was 3.5 stars but I'm not rounding up.

Totally loved the staff here at West Texas Eye! Most of the patients we saw while we were there have trouble hearing, the staff was amazing and very helpful not once seemed bothered by the patients who have a hard time hearing and or walking. Brandy was awesome and I'm grateful that she was so pleasant to my 88 year old Grandma!

Today I had 2 appointments for 2 of my kids. I have 2 kids and a 15 year old teenager. The MA in the front, informed me that I was going to have to go in with one child then the next. Then she called me back up to inform me, They could not see my two kids because there was not an extra adult to watch over my 15 year old teenager in the waiting room. Next appointment was 2 months later. I am no longer taking my kids back there!

Not handicap accessible, per management it hasn't worked for a year. Front doors are heavy.Needed authorization number, asked for number was treated with impatience by someone who was the only one not wearing a name tag. She than realized she had my card that had the number that I needed to call. Handed it with no apologies. Bathrooms door was not handicap accessible but size bathroom was. Unfortunately, bathroom was very messy.

I've been a client of West Texas Eye Associates for about 20 years. Started with Dr. Doka. Sweetest most kind doctor I have ever met. Unfortunately for me he retired. Dr. Faith took over his patients with more involved eye issues, that's me. Dr. Faith is awesome he takes his time and reviews my exams and tests. The staff are mostly good. I have had to deal with some REALLY bad ones over the phone. Rude and condescending!! One went as far as to drop me because I missed one appointment. When I asked why and who, no one knew. I've had to hold on the phone for more than 20 minutes without any answer. When I leave a message for the tech I rarely receive a return phone call. The receptionist that answer the phones don't know any of the procedures or how to explain them. This would take some training but so well worth it. I wouldn't trade my eye specialist for anything, I just wish they would hold their staff accountable for their lack of caring and knowledge especially over the phone.
