Super fun place to visit. I came here for a wedding. Can you believe it? They host events here. It was such an amazing backdrop for a wedding. I have my PPL so I absolutely loved exploring the museum and reading all the history! Even if you're not an aviation nerd like me you'll still enjoy the experience of being up close and personal with so many different types of aircraft. They also have a cute souvenir shop. Everyone was so helpful. Lots of parking available. And it's on an active runway so on a beautiful day you can sit outside and watch small aircraft take off and land!

It's such a cool museum. There is plenty to see a lot of history indoors and outdoors. Check the website for special events. Dont recommend going when it is super wind or hot. My son loves he definitely wants to come back. The shop has very unique items but it can definitely get expensive so bring some extra cash.

Loved this museum. It has a great variety of vintage planes, both propeller and jet engines. Bonus was the number of vintage cars. The museum is clean modern and staffed with very friendly people.

Its aviation history. Whats not to love? Cheap family outing, what kid doesn't love to see these massive machines. Your inner child wakes up walking around here. So many stories these planes have attached to them. I love that we have such a unique museum here.

Drove 40 minutes there and we checked the website before leaving. No where did it say they were going to be closed today. Such a waste of gas and time

The War Eagles Air Museum was a welcome stop on our way through El Paso. It is a hidden gem that needs more exposure! If you like vintage WW II, Korean War & Vietnam-era aircraft, then this is the place for you! Even if you don't, this is a great place to stretch your legs, break the monotony of a long drive, and look at some history. It is not far off the 10 and is only $5 per person ($4 for seniors and military) and kids are free! They do have a sign that advises parents to watch over their young children, and children to watch over their parents on the doors of the hangar as you walk inside. They have about 37 aircraft displayed in a huge hangar (3 outside) with helpful blue placards explaining their place in history. The planes are in excellent condition and most are still air worthy. They also have a good number of vintage automobiles and military vehicles on display. We had a wonderful veteran volunteer give us an introduction to the museum and answered any questions we had regarding the models you will see. I attached some pictures for you all to enjoy. The museum is open at 10 am and closes at 4 pm. We spent about 2 hours here, taking lots of photographs and reading through the displays. I especially enjoyed reading anything about women aviators which they had a display for. If you are also interested in that, check out the pink Cessna called the Cotton Clipper Cutie. They also have a lovely gift shop and clean restrooms.

One of the coolest museums in New Mexico! Lots of really cool vintage aircraft and cars. Hands on exhibits for kids (and adults) to climb in and play with. One of the best air museums I've been to outside of DC. Also had several volunteers waking around to answer any questions about the exhibits. Loved it!

Very good museum to visit. They had such a big variety of antique aircraft and displays. The older gentleman inside was so helpful to my wife and kids and had a ton of stories to tell about each airplane. I cannot recall his name but he made the experience even better. They also have a decent size and well prized gift shop. The lady there was not as welcoming but she wasn't bad either. I would return anytime.

I took two of my kids here, one had been asking all week about going. Not a lot of interactive objects but a lot things to take a look at. They had quite a bit of fun seeing everything. The one thing I really enjoyed were the extra information that was placed around the area. Example, women of flight and the equipment used on the planes.

NIce collection of automobiles and aircraft. I was there during a classic automobile show which brought in many people and increased the price slightly. I believe it would otherwise be more quiet. It was a convenient side trip from El Paso.
