Vista Urban Market is like the baby version of the awesome Vista Central Market on Zaragoza, lots of yummy food in a smaller and more convenient location. It's a great place to grab some quick groceries or stop by for lunch, and I love the modern look.Their bakery is great, I love the tres leches cake and the cream cheese-filled Espanolas, can't wait to try more baked goodies! They also got plenty of prepared foods like burritos, sushi, fruit cups, and aguas frescas, perfect for lunch or an afternoon snack.

Every time I go to a store, I can never just buy one item! This was the case when I stopped by this Vista Market. It's smaller than the others but they had the main item I was looking for. I stopped by to see if they had any boxes of the Aaron Jones cereal. They had plenty of it here! I wanted to give it to a friend who's a big Green Bay Packers fan. I made her a holiday basket with the cereal and some other goodies like a bottle of wine, chocolate, coffee, Christmas decorations and more. The cereal is $3.99. Not too bad! I expected to spend about $6 on it.Besides the cereal, I bought some brisket and chile con queso for dinner. Both tasted fresh and of good quality. The brisket had a really good flavor. The taste was on point. It was the shredded kind that's served for special occasions. I also got some rolls from their bakery. They're huge and a great price! I got 3 of them for a dollar and change. I also got some tostadas and salsa. This is a good store to come to when you only need to pick up a few items. It's also good for a meal. The store was fully stocked and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely come back whenever I need to pick up dinner again or I need a few items! Oh and I forgot to mention...they have beautiful cakes!

I was very excited to see this market recently opened close to my home because the few very satisfying occasions I've been able to shop there, the greatest hindrance was distance. Why would I even bother if other markets are available closer? The items on the shelves--specifically, locally produced Cebollas Honey from fantastic FabensTX--and other "healthy/organic" products, combined with excellent prices. As it is the most recent store to open, and it was not trapped within a maddening mall, I definitely wanted to investigate. It's location on George Dieter & East Glen, immediately South of the USPS office, is quite convenient. (motor)vehicle parking is behind, off East Glen. And the roads have been resurfaced--very nice! It has good pedestrian access (steps only, no ramps) from George Dieter, and no bicycle racks (yet). Leaving my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike outside the automatic doors, I went inside this much smaller store than the massive stand alone Vista Market much farther away East in North Zaragoza. Obviously, this meant fewer items were available. My quest was not for the wonderful Cebollas Honey, but for Mac & cheese. I was initially disappointed to not find any, but I just needed to look more intensely. I did find it, though Not clearly identified, and I was definitely disappointed at the lack of variety of available--and I was even more disappointed at the higher prices. I also saw a more expensive (than the competition) roasted chicken, but it was a much larger bird. Despite my concern that this might be a factory farmed (i.e., not free range) chicken that was huge because it had been fed a steady diet of drugs, I took solace i the knowledge that Vista Markets is interested in satisfying their customers and would sell wholesome products. (I have since sampled this well-cooked bird; so far, so good!) Perhaps the finest aspect of my experience in this market was cashier Estefania.(FIVE stars for her!) With my four items (3 mac & cheese, 1 pollo), I saw that the checkout line wasn't long at all, but the one customer ahead of me had a cart full of items. Fortunately, Estefania saw this and waved me over to her checkout stand. This extremely pleasant young woman very quickly got me through and out the automatic door, ready to hop on my bike. Besides no bike racks, I noted the smaller access zone, almost like an alleyway, which was a bit full of shopping cart corral and exterior seating. On a warmer day, I can see many customers enjoying eating/visiting/smoking out here. I did not see outlets available for sitters to plug in electric devices, nor butt kits, but I didn't look for those either. Overall, a satisfying experience here; I'll return, and it gets my "iWheel of Approval!"

I was super excited when they opened this store but I've had nothing but bad service. I went to get meat for Father's Day and waited behind a customer. The customer left and the butcher walked away. I waited and he didn't come back so I went to Super 7 instead. The cashier's always seem bothered. So yeah. Won't be going back unless I go to the Zaragoza one.

I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the prepared food here. My wife and I love the shrimp cocktails here and don't mind buying them a day or two after they were prepared. Today, they had cocktails with served dates from a week ago as can be seen in the pictures. Those were on rows 1and 2 the other cocktails on row 3 didn't even have tags. The ones on rows 1 and 2 had green limes that were yellow and row 3 had limes that were brown already. Again, no tags on those so who knows how long those have been there. I love shopping local as much as I can, but this store will not get my business on prepared items and really anything else.

Vista Market has gone the way of Walmart. Do it you self registers seem to be hip these days but I don't work there. So why do I have to ring out my own groceries. It wouldnt be so bad if people knew how to use them but Vista just watches the customer struggle and the line get longer. They won't open a register with a cashier, they just go and tell you how to scan. I don't have time for them to train the customer. Im on my lunch break which is not long.Ridiculous.

I personally like Vista Markets. The tortillas, pre made food, aguas frescas, and doughnuts are the best in our city!!!NOT VISTA URBAN Market!!!They sell junk!I recommend you drive the extra miles to any of the other Vista Locations.

It was a let down. While the flour tortillas were fresh and tasty, the produce looked old. The bell peppers were shriveled when I visited Friday night, and the squash looked like it had been in a dog fight and lost. I asked the butcher to recommend a meat and he quickly did. However the recommendation was worthless as they'd sold out. Oh well I guess I wont try it this weekend. The shrimp cocktails, while looking delicious, were old, with some having been made on Monday (5 days prior). Not sure as to the date for prepared seafood meals to sit but after they've been out for 5 days I believe I will pass. I'm not quite sure what niche they are trying to fill with Target across the street and Albertsons just a block away but I wont come back. While the tortillas were good I can make them at home. As for the produce I will keep shopping elsewher. Such a shame - looked forward to this and was sorely disappointed.
