One of our favorite places to go and grab a burrito! I usually get the brisket which is always very juicy! My mom always gets a chile relleno with beans, which is her absolute favorite here! Lastly, my girlfriend always gets barbacoa with beans...she literally dreams of the barbacoa from here! LOL! They have a good bakery as well...occasionally we'll pick up some donuts or if my mom is craving a sweet bread. They also have some pre packed (packed in store) items such as chile con queso, tortillas, fruits, mac and cheese, beans, and other ready for eat items! They also have a small grocery store with everyday items that people may need! Over all, this place is a staple in our house! Also, during Easter time, they sell capirotada! My mom could never find it before we started coming to Vista Market in 2013! Just thought I would add this note for the people who love it just as much as my mom does!

My sister bought a variety of sweet bread and pictured is one of them. The filling is what got me, literally it was just a tip that they filled, and it was flat too. Other than that, the food is really good, competitive prices, almost always busy. The bread is really good, but come one they have to try better with the filled ones.

I thought I had already written a review for this Vista Market location but I hadn't! I often go to this Vista to buy a quick meal and a few groceries. My favorite prepared foods are their brisket, chile con queso and now menudo. I like to make tacos or tostadas using their brisket. Their lemonade and pepino (cucumber) agua frescas are on the sweet side but refreshing. Their chile con queso can be spicy at times. The spicier the better imo! The bolillo rolls and pan dulce (sweet bread/pastries) are also really good and so are their cakes. Tres leches (three milks) cake is my favorite from here. All of their products always look and taste fresh. The store is always clean. I tried their menudo for the first time the other day and it was delicious! It had a great flavor and a little bit of spiciness to it. It tasted a lot like grandma's menudo! My grandma is an excellent cook and menudo is one of her specialties. I also like that it didn't have that much tripe and it wasn't greasy. I like eating the hominy more than anything. You have to get there by 10 am or earlier to get your hands on their menudo. It's been sold out a couple of times that I've gone on a Sunday morning. I think they only sell it on weekends. I like eating all of the foods I mentioned on Sundays especially during football season. Go Cowboys! :D I recommend buying their prepared food. It would make a great meal especially for out of town guests. Another thing I like about Vista Market is that they often help out the community. They've collaborated with organizations by donating food/supplies to them, especially during the holiday season. Support local and shop at Vista Market! Try some of their prepared food if you get a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed. There is something for everyone here.

The best homemade tortillas you can get! They have bomb queso, posole and pan dulce.. All of their food is fresh & so good! If you get a chance to stop here, don't forget to get an agua Fresca- agua de coco is one of my favorites.

I will always be visiting Vista for great, fresh produce that you can't find anywhere else. Plus the pan dulce is legit and a great variety. Added bonus is this market doesn't really get super packed so you can be in and out in 15 minutes if you just need to stop by for a quick couple of items. But I'd stick to their produce and fresh tortillas because all of their other stuff, like cereal and chips are on the "pricey end (but even those are not that expensive)" when compared to other markets. Also, sometimes you can find some good deals on wine at this spot...go figure!Overall, when I need some apples for my lunches, jalapeños for chile, fresh in-house made tortillas I will come to VISTA!

Great selection of Mexican delicacies. To me its the small things that count. The manager Armando gave my kids some balloons and when we exited the store the balloons flew away, my kids began to cry. Armando came out with more balloons and made their day. He knows customer service.

Their prices have gone up too much on some products. Also, the bakery items are stale. I'm not willing to pay $5.49 for a small container of homemade salsa.

We bought 5 dozen Chile rellenos from the deli on January 5, 2024, froze them, and brought them to San Antonio. As we have done in the past, we placed several of them on a pan with a little bit of oil and pan fried them for several minutes. We have done this before and the green chiles were always tender and the rellenos were delicious. This time, the chiles remained tough and were even hard to cut. The taste is good but are not quite edible. It almost seems that the green chiles were not roasted completely before the rellenos were prepared. We have a few more in the freezer but unfortunately if they were prepared the same way we will need to toss them away. We had hoped to share with our family in San Antonio.BTW - I called the store to ask if I should reheat them a different way but, apparently the way I reheated them was the correct way. Too bad, but we may have to throw away the remaining 4 1/2 dozen we still have.

Both myself and my boyfriend were sick last night and today from eating burritos there last night for dinner. Thought I was going to be safe because I didn't have meat in mine just the chili rellano and beans. Wrong. This should be a fun road trip! Not.
