Viejo Coffee

Not just trendy but super yummy! I ordered abuelita coffee with oat milk. I of course had to order it in a bag for the sake of my childhood adventures in Mexico, drinking pop out of a bag. It did not disappoint

Super cute coffee spot! The vibes are super dope and they have great coffee. I got the cocoa nana and my friend got the horchata latte. Really great ways to elevate the standard drinks.

What a great little spot! Cortado was rich and delicious, and the service was excellent! Got a pound of organic coffee to go and looking forward to trying it!

Great tasting matcha latte! The service is really quick & the owner is very kind and sociable.. there's a group of runners who will occasionally stop by on weekends and the vibe they bring is really great!

Love the modern vibes of this coffee shop! The shop itself is pretty minimalist and has a very modern feel. You enter on the side, kind of where the large Viejo Coffee sign is (pictured with my bagged beverage). There's an outdoor area to enjoy your drinks. I had the iced horchata latte and my boyfriend had a cold brew. The iced horchata was absolutely delicious (and dairy-free!) and my boyfriend said the cold brew was very smooth and had a slightly sweet taste. I loved the uniqueness of bagged coffee and had never experienced this before. The barista explained it's common in Mexico and that it's also biodegradable. I very much appreciate when a business that is able to make environmental efforts like that. Definitely recommend!

the coffee was so yummy, especially the cocoa nana, it taste exactly like chocolate abuelita. we didn't get a bag tho, i think you have to ask for it?

Good coffee. The young boys who work there are so nice and make conversation with you are so kind and have good recommendations for things to do in the area.

Cool little coffee spot by UTEP. No frills, which I appreciate when it comes to coffee. When I say little, I mean tiny, enough room for two people to wait for beverages comfortably. The ambiance of thus place with its abundance of plants and spare style leaves me wishing it were larger so I could sit and do some work or reading. I also love that you can see the entire space, wish they keep very clean. Parking is street side, but I've come at different hours and not really has too much trouble finding something nearby. The horchata latte only comes iced and is a little too sweet for me, but the flavor of their coffee is 100% in my opinion. Service has always been nice and easy-going. They communicate ahead of time when they're out of something.

The current shop location is too small now, and their quality has decreased. The high price did not justify how watered down the hot chocolate is especially because there are coffee shops in every corner in that area with cheaper prices.
