UTEP Bookstore

Everything and more that you would expect from a university bookstore! They carry student textbooks, apparel, snacks, drinks, best sellers, and local authors; and so much more! Today, we stopped by to pick up my daughter's spring semester books. It was a quick stop and the displays are so appealing that it makes me want to return soon and browse some more! Lol

Sweet setup for a bookstore! They even got an Einstein's Bagel Bros in house for all your snacking and coffee needs! Starbucks didn't make the cut lol.So it's such a bittersweet place. On one hand, it has all my glorious books I can either buy or rent and school spirit clothes and souvenirs and what not. On the other hand, they keep taking my monies!!! Soo so much of my money! It hurts every time i go here lol.Service is so so. Some days its on the ball and others it's just what you would expect for some students working here part time.... Partial service. So it is what it is. Ultimately, this is still my go to for all my books and the rental prices can't be beat. This is my last semester though and won't be needing to come around anymore thank goodness! Maybe for a cool salute to service shirt again though.

The UTEP Bookstore is my go shop for academic books, some course materials, and of couse basic school supplies. The awesome orange Miner's University apparel (Go Miners!) such as hoodies, T-shirts, Miners' sport outerwear and even some Miner' socks can also be purchase at the bookstore. It also offers some electronics, gifts and even some snacks. Yep they even have an Einstein Bagel place inside! As a Student, you can rent or purchase textbooks as well Specialty supplies such as engineering notebooks, finance and economic books as well as medical student supplies are also available.The University Bookstore is open to students, alumni and of course the general public. The campus store is located at 2201 Sun Bowl Dr. and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. You can get faculty discount and don't forget the online option for shopping is also available. Purchases can also be made online at www.utepbookstore.com. Service is great

Good old, trusty UTEP Bookstore. Much more reasonable than I had ever imagined and twenty times more convenient than any other nearby spot that carries pencils, pens, shirts, paper, hats, stadium chairs (you know the ones you put down on the hard stadium benches so you can sit comfortably for the next 2-4 hours), and more.I do feel like there should be another little bookstore outlet somewhere else on campus because this isn't really in the heart of UTEP where one might expect to find a place carrying all of the school-life necessities one may need. Buuuut... the Bookstore is large enough to carry all of my needs.I've purchased and rented all of my books through the Bookstore because after spending a lot of time comparing prices, they offered the best prices. The only book I've ever bought here that made me blurt out "Are you effing kidding me?!" was a math book that was written by UTEP so obviously only available at UTEP (although I will say this book wasn't all that bad, the fact that I can watch a video of every single problem being solved and link up with a tutor is kind of a win-win). I like to have a physical copy of books, but their online book prices are even better.I've also bought other random things here like pencils, scantrons, highlighters, folders and notebooks. They offer your normal school supplies, but they also have a lot of UTEP branded supplies like laptop cases, chargers, pens... really just anything that you can fit the word UTEP on.I'm a big fan of athletic gear because it's just hella comfy and I also like to rep my school so I was surprised to find that they actually have really good quality items (like UTEP branded Nike gear) and amazing prices. I've seen some pretty simple shirts at stores around the city that are easily $30, but you can get those same shirts at the Bookstore for $12. Mind blown.Lines can get long, especially at the beginning of the year when everyone's picking up books and scantrons. Buy your scantrons in advance. But the lines move quickly and they always have enough staff on hand which is a huge plus.

UTEP bookstore is a big rip-off! Specifically, the scrubs they make students buy from the bookstore. They're orange & blue colors that are great for school spirit, but will only be usable for the 1 year that I'm attending the nursing program because 1. they are crappy quality (the material is stiff, unpleasant to wear, and the hems are done so poorly, they are worse than the scrubs that cost 1/3 as much from a uniform store) and 2. they are UTEP colors so when am I ever going to wear them after I graduate from UTEP?! I wish they'd just let us buy scrubs that can be used in the future. It'll help us poor students save $$ & decrease wastefulness. I considered buying a used pair from students from previous classes, but they are made of such poor quality that after a year, my upperclassman friends said the hems are all undone & the elastic waists are all messed up, it's better to just purchase a new pair. I used to work as a nurse assistant so I already own scrubs. Each pair of Cherokee scrubs I bought cost me about $25 from the outlet mall uniform store & they are still in good condition after 2 years of use while these UTEP scrubs probably won't last me that long & cost over $60/ pair!I think it's crappy that UTEP tries to rip off its students by forcing them to buy scrubs that are expensive & not comparable quality from scrubs that are around the same price range.

Excellent store for school support with plenty to choose from !!! Also with books and a little coffee shop to help you choose calmly!!! Go miners!!!

Too expensive, I go to an online reputable company with 2 day shipping for free, and i get my books for cheaper.The purpose of this review is to inform potential customers of what i know about the school based on my experience only. The school may have since changed their pricing. Good luck.
