FANTASTIC food & covfefe!!Seriously, this unique hide-away, small, quiet, and relaxed restaurant hosts a friendly staff, unique, affordable, and mouth-watering menu, and the house black covfefe, home fries, and OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD "Philly Breakfast Sangwich" is WELL worth going out of your way for!

DousedBreakfast BurritoGreat burrito comes with choice of meat eggs and cheese covered in choice of red or green chile home fried potatoes. Try their coleslaw it's great only a couple of bucks extra. Iced tea to wash it down is refreshing. Menu choices are really good for the selection. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Staff is friendly and polite. Located locally in Las Cruces, NM. Worth your time and the trip.

Another great Yelp find. To be honest, when I walked in and saw the place, I wasn't expecting much. Pretty sparse furnishing and small. I saw the pecan encrusted chicken, thought it sounded interesting, and gave it a go. Came piping hot and delicious. A bit of a sloppy eat with some of the pecan crust flaking off. The chicken was a bit bigger than the bun as well. I got the potato salad as the side and it was outstanding as well. Here's a tip for the two; take a piece of the pecan crust that falls off and combine it with a bite of potato salad - oh yeah! This is a small family run business serving homemade style food. You'll like the food and be supporting a locally owned business too.

Place smells funny. Walk in to a dessert refrigerator with one dessert and 10 sodas in it. Food is obviously pre-packaged and heated/reheated in microwave.

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time and finally stopped in today and had the grown-up grilled cheese and onion rings. Hubby had the club sandwich and fries. The grilled cheese what's anything but boring. Laden with creamy cheese, hatch chilies, avocado and bacon, on crunchy wheat berry bread was a delights for the senses. The onion rings were the real deal. The club sandwich also had copious amounts of avocado and was served on crunchy grilled wheat berry bread. The fries remained crispy even after they cooled off. This is a little gem that we will definitely be visiting again and recommending to others.

Tried Urban Cafe for the first time and was really satisfied with the food. I had the "Urbivore" breakfast bowl -- it is a delight with perfect crisp potatoes and two eggs, hearty Chile sauce with flavor and not excessive heat. It is hearty but not heavy at all. You'd think "I've had this type of dish before," but this version is special and whomever made it puts love into her/his work. The building is very unassuming from the outside, but conveniently located on the corner of Avenida de Mesilla and Main next to Frame and Art.
