Tsunami Sushi

Food was terrible at any price, but especially insulting for ~$100 for 3 rolls and fried rice.

The lead chef, David takes pride in his work and it shows. Attention to detail and the ability to improvise when out of some ingredients made for a great first experience. So good in fact, we went back for a second time just yesterday. A different roller this time and he did a very nice job as well. The service staff was super friendly both times. We like to sit at the bar for the up close and personal with all the fresh ingredients experience. Being new to El Paso, it was a little off putting at first that the restaurant was empty or nearly empty each time. But learning that they do a bunch of Togo orders and maybe that is how El Paso rolls with sushi. Over all, great food, friendly service, we likely will make this a frequent stop on our eating out nights.

We had the edamame, fried dumplings, dinner entree salmon, Philly roll, and the El Paso roll. It all was SO delicious!! Ambience was very nice, chill and they had good music on.The server, Natalie W., was awesome! Recommend 10/10 thanks!!

This place was five stars when I had it last - about six months ago. Honestly, I raved about it to my husband. We were on that side of town and decided to go.We were the only ones there, for dine in. Seemed like they were busy for carry out but otherwise the place was dead until we were leaving. The gentleman behind the counter was phenomenal, five stars. He genuinely seemed like a very kind, helpful, and attentive guy. Our waitress, unfortunately, was talking with a friend who sat onto the counter and seemed very uninterested in us being there. it wasn't until the other gentlemen prodded her about grabbing our waters did she get them, about fifteen minutes after we sat down. The sushi is still great, but everything else was very salty and peppery. I'm not sure if it was just a bad night, but over all this experience is nothing like the several other times I've been over the last year - but I'll say I haven't been in six months, so maybe it changed? The food used to be so, so good. This place will get another chance because of the man behind the counter.

Basically our most favorite place to eat sushi in El Paso! They are great with service and food!

We ordered delivery from Tsunami Sushi and it was delivered within the hour via Grub Hub.The tuna on the sushi was super fresh and delicious, but the restaurant sent no wasabi at all!The poke taco was my favorite! 100% recommend it. I am not a big fan of salmon, so I asked them to use tuna only and they did perfect!The crunchy shrimp was delicious as well and had enough fresh crunch on top of it.Just two things went wrong with this order... no wasabi and the driver actually delivered our food to one of our neighbors and that is the reason I am not giving them 5 stars. Also, usually when you order specialty sushi, you get a salad or soup. At Tsunami Sushi that is all we got...the sushi! No salad nor soup.

very disappointed in this establishment. overpriced for the amount of food we got. The water had no ice and was from the tap, we waited 2 hrs for our food and when we finally got served it was cold. we were specifically asked how we wanted our steak cooked which we replied medium but when it arrived it was like eating boot leather, the shrimp was tough and rubbery. I can go on but at the end of the day, I won't be back. unsatisfactory!

If you're looking for sushi so good it makes you question your life choices--but also your financial decisions--Tsunami Sushi is the place for you. Yes, it's expensive, but let's be honest: who wants bargain-bin raw fish? This isn't "Budget Bay Sushi"; it's Tsunami, and the flavors hit like a tidal wave.The fish? Fresher than a kid with a new pair of Jordans. The ingredients? So well taken care of, I wouldn't be surprised if they get tucked in at night. Even the cooked sushi options have me convinced the chefs were born with wasabi in their veins and soy sauce in their souls. Sure, your wallet might shed a tear, but your taste buds will be doing a happy dance. And isn't that what dining out is all about? Highly recommend--for a special occasion, or if payday was particularly kind to you.

Food; 10/10 was excellent temperature and taste from the sushi to the teriyaki steak bowl, which my husband order. the lunch deal which they have daily, from 11am to 3pm. It includes sushi and boxes from the first picture. Lots of food included in the boxes, my daughter couldn't even finish it and we had to take it to go. They were out of short ribs which was a disappointment, she loved the salmon in the end though.Service; 9/10 Waiter was very nice and helpful with my questions about the rolls and kitchen items they had. Helped us right away with drinks and amazing soup they have, which is complementary when dining in, the waitress let us know. We also ordered a few more rolls in the end which we didn't even finished and had to take home. They have excellent deep fried selections as well. Ambiance; We arrived at 2:00pm and it was nice and quiet, they had music playing and a welcoming atmosphere. The workers were talkative and friendly. Me and my family enjoyed the experience with no regrets eating here at all.

Looked cute so we are excited to try. We came in and waited a waitress said she would clean a table for us. Then a few min later came to us and said there would be a 45 min wait for food. That there were a lot of online orders and she just took all the other tables orders. Yet as we turned to leave she waved to 3 other people just coming through the door and said she had their table ready... the same one "she would clean off for us". Can't say anything about the food but definitely the whole experience left a terrible taste in our mouths. Won't be back for sure. I'd give 0 stars if possible.
