My milanesa torta that looks like it got ran over by a bus
Torta of colita de pavo, agua de melon and pickled jalapeños
a restaurant counter with menus on the wall
Look for this place
I had to add my own jalapeños because they barely put any when I asked for it
My sad looking Milanesa torta
Cook/owner ripping off customer's. All flautas only filled 1/4th with beef.

Aye dios mio... no my milanesa torta looked like it got ran over by a bus and tasted so sad. I gave this place a try just to check them out because my mom told me they USE TO BE good a while ago, but she said they changed owners throughout the years. They must of changed their tortas too because it was bad. My poor sad looking torta was waaaaay more bread then anything. Maybe the business is trying to save $. But nope I won't be coming back nor do I recommend it.

Tortas Nico is one of the most popular torta chains in Juarez and now you can get them in El Paso without risking death! Too soon?Oddly enough you don't see many torta restaurants in El Paso, for those of you wondering what a torta is, please look it up. Anyway, because there's not many dedicated places its a harder item to compare than something like burritos or tacos. It was nice taking a drive down memory lane with a colita de pavo torta, which was yummy, I also like the Mexican-style fries, which if you follow my reviews, the way you should, you would know are fries that are not fried to a crisp.Parking is a pain in the ass because they're repaving the lot or something, but don't let that deter you.Bottom Line: A-OK!

Finding small local surprise eateries amidst behemoth national known big box restaurants is always an amazing, tasty delight, such as this fine "Tortas Nico". There is only one possible reason--excellent food--well, maybe two--professional, friendly staff--which account for its existence despite the close presence of huge internationally reputable eateries. My particular meal of choice was an extremely well prepared bistek tortas (steak sandwich); yummy! Absolutely delicious! I waited very little time once my order was placed. Besides the superb taste, was I enjoyed the only true sandwich in El Paso? I'm looking forward to pedaling here and feasting at very low cost; this fantastic eatery gets my hearty "Wheel of Approval!"

I ordered the colita de pavo torta and they skimped out on the meat. It was like eating an avocado torta. Very disappointed.

Some of the employees don't speak English. I speak no Spanish. But they are super friendly. The food is delicious. It's very well priced. I guess it's from Juarez and that's what makes it good. They have pickled carrots and jalapeños...those MAKE the sandwich better! Sooooo good!!!! So good. Check it out.

I had a milanesa and ham torta. It was alright, but I would say it lacked a bit in flavor. Prices are reasonable though and they have a decent variety, so I would give them another shot.

It felt like I ate a brick of salt... everything from the torta to the jalapenos tasted like SALT! I ordered the house torta which is called the Torta Nico it comes with turkey butt, ham, Winnie and melted cheese along with its ham and tomatoes... more than like I won't be returning again. First and last time for me.

Cook/owner is a thief, I will never order from there again. I get that the many small businesses owners are hurting and are trying their best to survive, but do not ripoff your customers! Ordered their flautas and this is what I got a batch of overcooked crap only filled with half the proper amount of beef.

This is definitely not the place to come to for a quick lunch. Time from order to time food received well over a half hour. A time review of the place said people typucally spend half an hour here and it it took our food just that to get to us. For one with a half hour to eat, that is unacceptable. Strange thing is that we were there at about 1:40 today (5/01/19) and well after the lunch rush. Just feeling really let down by the lack of time management.
