Torres Construction did a great job repairing damage to my house back wall from rain. Other company wanted to charge me "3" times as much!!! I'm Happy!!!

Just an update to my scathing review on this awful construction company... The consumer division of the Attorney General's office helped me in getting a refund from Torres Construction, or else I was going to take them to small claims court with a strong case. I have heard that they are looking to renew their license. Never in my life have I met such a dishonest, no integrity, incompetent company like this one owned by Miguel (Mike) Torres. Do yourself a favor and RUN... AVOID THIS CO if you value your sanity.

Thank you everyone for your reviews of Torres Construction LLC. Wishing I had read them before signing anything. I signed a Work Order and Authorization with the Company representative to contact the home owner's insurance for an inspection and possible damage compensation. The home owner is locked in for the project after 3 days. What customer knows within 3 days that any company is incompetent? Regardless, after several weeks of no contact, I called the sales representative regarding a start date. He was to call me back within 4 days, didn't happen. His excuse for the delay was "Covid." This was in Sept. 2022. Finally I contacted the office for a projected start date, and was told Oct. 11. Some time later I received a phone call that the start date was moved to Nov.1, then another call moving to Nov. 3, then a fourth call moving the projected start date to Nov. 29, 2022. The excuses were inclement weather and lack of personnel. You can decide if these are legit. I tried to cancel the contract and request a refund, but Bernadette was loud and disrespectful, talking over me for several minutes. Also, as pointed out in another review, they want 20% compensation to cancel the contract of the entire estimated project. There is no contract for the entire project. There are other reputable companies around, use one of them.

This company really is abusive when it comes to insurance claims. They made my father (an elderly gentleman) sign a contract telling him he was signing only to make the insurance claim and that it would be his choice if he used them. Well now 3 month later they r sending a outstanding balance collection letter because he didn't use their service. Asking for 20% of the estimated cost but when they do the math they at billing for 80%!!!! DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.... they are out for get your money.*****UPDATE*****After speaking with a very nice lady, things have improved. We r now still having to pay because of a contract signed, but it's something that was agreed by both parties. They were good at responding to my calls and as well as promptly coming with a solution. Claudette Perez was very good with customer service and helped solve the situation my father was put in.

Buyer beware. This company will scam you. They did damage to my home while installing a roof and they refuse to pay for it. I asked them for their insurance info and they refused to give me the info. They claim to have a warranty but will not honor it. They don't have to skip town because they just ignore you. Now I'm having to take them to court. And they pretend to take out a city permit and there is none.
