Love it here. Great place to live. Friendly neighbors and office staff. I love my view from my balcony. All of the West side.

I am stuck between A-OK and Yay-I'm a fan. What I am a fan of: the greenery and landscaping, beautiful views, and quietness of the neighborhood. The ladies in the office are very nice and understanding and most of the time helpful. There is one where you ask her about something she just looks at you. I ask if she will write a work order and she continues to just look at you. Well, when you call a week later to find out the status you find out the W/O never gets completed. Also, if there are major issues regarding maintenance they do not step in and help. It is what it is. And this is what I am tired of.I have lived here for over three years. I am a patient person and understand forgetfulness etc. But I am now done here.I have had multiple issues in my unit. I have had three floods. Two in my unit, where staff had forgotten to turn on/off water and one from the above unit. Same situation. They never replace anything just air it out. the third time this happened I was really upset and told the ladies in the office (All of this happened within 4 months). The cleaning lady came to help clean up with a broom. A broom to a flood. At one point my dishwasher stopped working well. To make a long story short they gave me the dishwasher from upstairs, then a brand new one and when that didn't work the maintenance crew told me the dishwasher isn't supposed to wash dishes but sanitize them. All this happened over a span of a year. I have a number of things to say in response. So for over a year I haven't used by dish sanitizer.I do agree with another yelper that they do need to look into repairs on the outside of the buildings that are made of wood. There is rotting and peeling and looks terrible. painting over these issues does not fix it but makes it worse. There are a number of other things that go on but lets not bore you with that. The point (Pointe) is, is that there are a lot of great things about the complex but when things really need to be fixed the maintenance staff is not knowledgeable and can really mess up. I will be moving on.

The local management is wonderful. Yvette and Ray do what they can but their hands are tied due to poor management on the ownership side. Ownership will not spend any money to update infrastructure that is 40 years old. There are constant water leaks resulting in water being turned off for the entire complex. The pool was closed for most of the previous summer. Roads and parking lot are in horrible shape. The current state of The Pointe make it difficult for them to compete with neighboring properties.

Very difficult to pay rent. They make you do everything on line, but their online payment systems are antiquated and not user friendly. They do not have office hours on the weekends either. This has been a very difficult move-in experience.

I can't recommend anyone living at these apartments... I have lived at plenty of apartments and sadly this was the worst experience ever...Not only was our apartment bathrooms nasty even before move in but it started to become a headache when we started having issues with the ac water heater started to leak. We called the emergency maintenance line the guy came out drained the line but water still kept coming out from the floors and he advised us we had to turn off the ac to stop the water from leaking which did not resolve the issue. Monday came i went to the front office to address the issues but the property manager was rude. She said maintenance will be out some time today to address the issue of the water heater and maintenance will let her know what needs to be done. The other issue was the residents above us being so loud at all hours of the night ( front office said they would put notices on the door) but was never really taken care of.... They continued to be the most inconsiderate neighbors we had to deal with....Office is supposed to close at 530 husband got off work early to address more issues but the property manager was not there.

Terrible customer service and add on extra charges, had to pay more for gas and water because they added an occupant without telling us. SCAMMERS.

Maintenance team is very unprofessional. First day we moved in our apt was infested with cockroaches, A/C did not work, stove didn't work either, and we had to place multiple tickets for maintenance to come and fix something.

The first year the apartments were maintained adequately; however, the second year they were not maintained at all within reasonable standards. There were numerous safety concerns with the apartment including faulty smoke detectors and wiring that were not replaced for over a month even after emergency maintained and safety requests were reported to the office multiple times. I even had to replace the smoke detector on my own at my own expense as it failed and maintenance did not come by to replace it for several weeks and it was constantly going off and giving errors. Through out the two years that I stayed in this apartment there has not been adequate trash facilities. The one compactor the entire complex was often full for several days or broken and there was no where to dump the trash. I believe this insufficient facility has resulted in excessive rodents and roaches. Along with the maintenance issues experienced over the last year, there were numerous billing issues with the apartment complex that were never resolved even after multiple follow-ups. I was charged for insurance payment even after providing proof of insurance showing coverage during the full lease time. This issue was never resolved. On the second lease the first billing statement charged a higher rate than the signed contract. Upon providing notification to the office to move out at the end of my lease, I was threatened with breach of contract fees if I turned in keys early even though I was fulfilling the entire contract. After final inspection I received notification in the mail that the housing office was charging double what my normal water bill would be and they could not help me and required me to coordinate with the water trash contractor directly. Upon speaking with them they quoted a price of half what the apartment complex charged me. At this point I cannot recommend this apartment or their parent company to anyone because there are too many issues unresolved.

Do not rent here! This is by far the worst place I have rented in a very long time. I do not know where to begin. Upon inspecting my new apartment upon move in, everything was dirty. Patio screen, patio casing (inside of the apartment), bath tub with some sort of stain running down the outside of it, old crusty caulking, vents, light fixtures, ceiling fan, fan over stove, bobby pin stuck in caulking on the bathroom sink, doors in bedroom poorly with poorly caulked holes in them, bedroom windows dirty, kitchen window has paint on it, cabinets as old as a decade old (or more), water heater cabinet dirty and loose screws inside of it, and ceiling is so dirty that the popcorn is no longer white, it is brown...to name a few. Please, please, please heed my warning and do not rent here. The apartment won't be ready when they say because they are "upgrading" it. So they will show you the model (which is nice and clean because no lives there), and ask you to do all of the paperwork online before you view your "new" apartment. Once you do a quick viewing, and you sign, then you will get your walk through paperwork... and that is when your "new" apartment will turn back into the derelict, poorly kept pumpkin it always was. Please, if you choose to rent here, look over everything throughly before you sign, and document it (with guarantees it will be done properly). Also, take pictures and video as proof that it is as bad as you say it is. That is my advice for renting at The Pointe!Update: Oh, I do like the pool and the workout room. But that isn't worth almost $1K a month for a one bedroom!
