The Place

This is an awesome place definitely coming back fresh hand made tortillas de harina only had "burritos de verde " but they were well done the decore is minimal not much to look at but the food was delicious.

I was out looking for a place to eat lunch near work when I saw "the place" and decided to try somewhere new. I saw they had gorditas de harina for $1.25 and was sold. I tried their rojo and verde gorditas and they are so so so good! Recommend this place if you are looking for a quick and cheap lunch. I've been back a couple of times because those gorditas are soooo good! I've also had their picadillo gorditas, delicious!

Hole in the wall with delicious food. You'll leave so full that you'll need someone to take you out to your car in a wheelbarrow.

DG, Sage and me here now, crowded away from our/my first choice per girls at Atlantic Aviation where our Merlin is parked. I had orchata drink and was real good. Also 2 steak taco. They were small but excellent. And a chili releno. It was ok. DG and Sage each had a burrito. They were ok. I probably would not return however.

This is a small place with big tortas! Or Mexican sandwiches, amiright?? I came by at lunch and tried both carnitas and milanesa. Both tortas were bigger than I needed (I had lunch for the next day). Both were very tasty although the milanesa was more chewy than I prefer. I would have liked a better bread to meat ratio, but it wasn't too bad. Overall very good food. Don't go with a big group because they don't have many tables.

Honestly amazing. I recommend the gorditas Verde! Lovely people and beyond delicious food. Great alternative to the crowded l & J's nearby.

Found this place on Yelp. The prices are inexpensive. Couple bucks each for a burrito, elote en vaso, or the aguas frescas (they had limonada y horchata). The gentleman that was there was kind and helpful. The food was delicious. The elote was mm mm mmmm ..... My first time here. They open till midnight on the Fridays and Saturdays I believe. Try it!

It was a rare treat in that both my children were sharing holidays with my better half & I, and we had an enjoyable lunch at this somewhat hidden (Northwest corner strip mall of Yandell & Copia), fine eatery. I was rather pleased with my steak sandwich ("torta"}; my wife liked the burrito, my most favorite daughter quickly scarfed her flautas down, and my most favorite son & his fiancee found the cheese enchiladas rather tasty. ("Cheese" or "meatless" because they are vegetarian.) Bottled water was,available, and the youngsters had silky smooth horchatas.I missed the meal starter (comedero de la comida) of tostadas & salsa, often a usual setting for patrons upon arrival. Also missing were shrimp (camarones), but the ordered food was extremely fresh, well-prepared & had the appropriate heat ("Spicy" carried a bite muzzled by horchata.). Co-owner Armando took our order the old-fashioned way, writing it on a spiral bound notebook, and I paid via my chip VISA card at the counter. Often, a tip can be written into the electronic receipt, but that was not available here so we left cash. Overall, a good eatery but since there is so little demand for vegetarian fare, few options exist for them. Four stars and my "Wheel of Approval!"

Everything is hand made including the tortillas and gorditas. The gorditas are absolutely some of the best in the city. The prices are ridiculously cheap. You can get a meal here for less than $5 which is unheard of in 2024. The couple who works there are also very nice and friendly. The interior is small but homey and clean. Can't recommend this place enough.

Homemade food and good prices. I recommend the Chile Colorado, enchiladas and the barbacoa is really good not greasy.
