Tbh I wouldn't rent here again. We got our apartment in the spring and it seemed like a good choice then but once summer hit it was like living in a brick oven! The buildings are cinder block so the there is no insulation whatsoever! We blast the ac and fans all day and the thermostat still reads 90 degrees inside. They don't have ceiling fans which are definitely recommended for these types of structures and they should at least have some type of shade on the sides that have cinder blocks. If you want your electric bill to be through the roof this is the place for you! Ps the staff in the front office are pretty rude after you move in. Don't let them fool you.

These are a good apartment if you are just moving out of your parents home and going to the main EPCC campus. Walls are cinder-block so that's a little off putting, but the units all have refrigerated air. Some of the community amenities are the pool (a jacuzzi that is now used at a kiddie pool...no joke), community grills (I don't advise using those), a small gym and two playgrounds for the kiddos. One thing that always got me is there really isn't much landscaping done other than rocks almost everywhere. They do allow pets for a fee, but I don't remember their weight limit. Also there is a fee to have a satellite dish, with a portion that's refundable granted you remove the dish when you move out. That was a whole fiasco for me. When I had it installed the installer placed our dish on the same mount as our neighbors so ours got thrown away when they moved (DirecTv fixed it for free after I pointed out to them it never should have been placed on someone else's mount) and then a few months before leavings my neighbor downstairs had the installers put a spliter on our dish so he wouldn't have to pay the satellite fee to the complex (he was paying for his own service just using our satellite). The apartment complex was nice enough to ask him to get his own satellite and pay the satellite fee, but after two weeks and he made no attempts to fix this they cut his wires. For what you're getting these aren't bad priced apartments, but they are a tad small. Even the larger 3 bedroom units don't actually have a dinning room, just a open area between the kitchen and living room.Management is pretty quick on fixing any issues you may have. These apartments are very accommodating for someone getting their first apartment. I can't give it a 3 star because while it is just an average apartment, it isn't that pleasing to the eye.

Overall, the apartments are good for what you pay, maintenance is great and helpful, the location was really good. My only complain is with the office, the ladies are respectful but very lazy. They never answer the phone and hardly put in orders for maintenance. That is what is upsetting about The Phoenix Apartments.

I usually do not write reviews but I want to take the time to do it because of the exceptional service I have received from Karen Gutierrez, leasing agent of The Phoenix Apartments. Since the first time I went to ask for information about these apartments back in 2014, I was friendly welcomed by Karen and her service was so professional and helpful that I was able to move in a couple of days. Every month that I go and pay the rent, she always greets you with a smile and treats you with the outmost respect. In the last month, I had some issues in my apartment and Karen saved the day one more time! I was able to relocate into a new apartment. Thanks to her positive attitude and reliable work this transition was done right and efficiently. I am happy to live here since it is conveniently located across where I work, EPCC Valle Verde, and the layouts of both apartments are spacious and well distributed. Most importantly, I feel blessed that Karen went the extra mile and was able to made me feel at home again!

Due to management changes, apt. complex is no longer good when it comes to taking care of their residents. I filed a maintenance request over 5 weeks ago with plumbing issues. Tried talking to manager, assistant manager and even maintenance guy who said he would be back 2 days later and has not come yet (5 more days now). No follow ups or any type of communication from office either.

Good apartments but management and maintenance has no consideration for their tenants. They will do the loudest possible work inside apartment buildings as well as outside very early in the day. So if you have kids or work late like myself or value your sleep like myself, or simply don't enjoy being woken up by loud banging or dirt hitting your window with a loud blower right outside your window, this is not the place for you. You've been warned...
