The Palms Steakhouse

The Palms is a very nice gem that Midland had been missing. The access to quality cuts such as Kobe beef is something not seen in this area, not even at the popular Cowboy Prime. The menu is elegant and professional, with a wide variety of options.I had an Australian wagyu ribeye which was cooked fantastically, and I was super impressed.My wife had the red bird Tucson pasta, and said it was amazing. Our appetizers and sides were pretty decent as well, not the best, but not bad by any means. While waiting in our food I was thinking to myself that a bread option would be great, but didn't think it was too big of a deal. Turns out it is something the restaurant provides although I didn't hear any mention of it until a while after my appetizers came out and then they forgot to ever bring it to our table.The drink menu looked nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, a great refresh from the previous restaurant that operated in this location.

First time visitor here and I thought the restaurant was quite nice. My friend & I had 8pm reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server, Angel, was courteous and he checked on us frequently. My meal (chicken pasta) was delicious and the butter cake dessert was so good! My shrimp cocktail was slightly frozen but still not a detractor. Overall, the ambiance, customer service, and food were satisfying. I would visit again.

The whole experience was very positive, I will definitely be back. The highlights were the cocktails and steak. Such a fun cocktail menu - very creative with the names and display. I got the "On the Side" which came with a mini Grand Marnier bottle upside down. The calamari and arancini appetizers were delicious. Everyone at my table got a variety of steak dishes which we were all very pleased with - filets and wagyu filets cooked perfectly. The butter cake dessert was divine and especially the gelato that came with it. I can't wait to come back and try more!

This place has decent food but the service staff is trained to rip you off. They charged us $60 for bottled water without our consent. I will never come back to this restaurant

My husband and I both had the filet and agreed it was cooked perfectly. The whole meal was great, as well as the drinks we had! They serve complimentary bread and omg the butter it comes with is amazing. Great service too, really excited to have this new steakhouse in town for date nights!

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at the Palms that others seem to have. Our steaks were over cooked, and they were only warm when served. The baked potatoes were dry and quite frankly tasteless. The ones in our group that had the "secondary" entrees stated they were good. The service was mediocre at best. We did not receive any bread for the table until I requested it after waiting 45 minutes after we had finished our appetizers and salads. Caution on the wedge salad, its a few pieces of loose-leaf lettuce, blue cheese dressing and two cherry tomatoes cut in half with a small piece of bacon. It did have some pickled onions but I could really taste them. I hope others have better luck than we did. We wont be back and it they continue at the pace they are they wont be around long anyway. I don't mind paying the price for exceptional food, however paying the price and not receiving a meal to match the cost isn't acceptable.
