The Italian Kitchen

I don't frequent Italian spots as much simply because I try to minimize my carb intake. However, I treated my mom to lunch and she loves Italian. Plus, this had been on my local list to try for a very long time.Overall it was meh for me. The service was borderline aggressive and in such a hurry they hardly made eye contact. The food was what I would expect, heavy on the salt, sugar, and oversauced. I didn't see any options on the lunch menu for a lemon based sauce which is my usual go to. I wonder if they make their own pasta in house? The bread, salad, coffee, and tiramisu were good.Not sure I would come again but I will say the best part of the experience for me was the location and ambiance. You could tell it was a home at one point with lots of real charm. T

Worst service ever, visited today, and the server can't even bother to remember our order, doesn't check back on us, doesn't bring additional items we requested. Then our order took over an hour to come out, wtf

Holodeck version of 1960s-1970s Italian-American restaurant. Just what you'd expect. Literally Frank Sinatra-only soundtrack playing on a music streaming service. White and red checked tablecloths. The whole shebang. Everything was just fine, but with no impressive culinary flourishes. Friendly and efficient service. It is almost difficult to judge this place by contemporary Italian food standards. Caprese salad? Yup, but the mozzarella was hard and sliced. No fresh buffalo anything. Coffee? No espresso.

I kept hearing about this place so decided to try it. My girl and I decided to go last week, was not busy, so that was in the +Plus column. However, I quickly could see why. I asked the waitress what the specials were, she pushed the Bruschetta. I asked if she could tell me what they put on their version (every restaurant does it a little differently). I got some generic answer that told me she really did not know.I ordered the Eggplant Parm, and I swear it came out of a microwave, right down the black plastic tray it was served in. Such a small portion too. Was this a Weight Watchers frozen dinner? It was barely edible and I sent it back. My girl had the spaghetti/meatballs. She said the sauce tasted scorched. So, they obviously have it sitting in a pan for hours on end. Won't be going back. Very disappointed.

I love the food and all but the quality of the food has been falling apart since 2022 maybe if they make a change and I want Italian kitchen to change the food and make it more Italian-ish

I had a great time when I took my daughter and her boyfriend to eat there. My future son in law proposed to my daughter at Italian Kitchen. Great romantic atmosphere!!! Our server, Hilda, was awesome and the food was so good too. They and I will be back!!

This place is terrible! Go to bella sera instead. Nice ambience and very professional wait staff. Which makes the below average food with expensive prices that much worse. The tortellini I ordered was absolutely terrible. Soft drinks come in a bottle so no refills. Auto gratuity was added for a party of 5 even though the menu does not mention auto gratuities. It was very expensive for the poor quality of food.

I saw the Godfather movie the other day and it gave me extreme cravings for Italian American cuisine. There's a seen in the film where the mafia guy is teaching Michael how to make the red sauce. I decided to check this place to have their red sauce. I ordered chicken Parmesan and it was so damn good!

The best Italian in El Paso Texas hands down.! very polite and peaceful environment the waitress's were beautiful and kind and the service was outstanding.! The food was so light and creamy the salad was a blast of flavors in my mouth. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.!
