Worst ER ever. It's the epitome of health care. Beautiful on the outside but horrible on the inside. No one is there for people that need help. If you want nurses and doctors to just walk around you like you don't exist this is the place to go. Bedside manners are nil. I was waiting in there so long I removed my IV myself. They expected me to wait as long as they took. Never going back to this atrocious place. Everyone should avoid this place at all cost. It's not worth it. It's not because they are short staffed. I can't tell you how many nurse, doctors, staff were just walking around and even when I took my blood pressure monitor and heartbeat monitor off and it said I was flat living no one even blinked an eye. I could have been coding in there and they would have just let me die.

I am usually over at Providence Memorial because my doctor is over there but when he ask for some blood work to be done, I come over to this location as it is very close to my house! The receptionist are very nice and they are very quick to get you into registration. I have never had any issues with registration or the receptionist! The wait to be taken back to get your blood drawn can be a little long sometimes but it's nothing to lose sleep about because I know that the lab person is running around the whole hospital helping and there are people who need them their first so I can wait a hour to get some blood drawn. It's always a great experience here and I am thankful for all the staff here!

Im shocked we allow such poor quality hospitals continue to operate. We entered the ER on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm. We were not admitted until after 4:00 pm. We didn't have a nurse until after 5:30 pm. My father soiled himself and I had to do all the cleaning. The hospital was dirty and way under staffed, no one will respond to your call buttons. No one seemed to know what to do or where equipment was located. Help this hospital!! This is not fair for our community and citizens to be subjected to this level of service

Wow this must be the first time ever that I did not have to wait for hours past my appointment time. I have lived in NY, DC and other areas, but this location puts the all to shame. The front desk staff is courteous and cheerful- like they are really happy to see you! I enjoy the patient portal, text notification of upcoming appointments and and being able to sign in and pay online. An added bonus- as part of the Hospitals of Providence, they are in the federal blue cross provider network.

Coming from Alamogordo and the dr had rescheduled the surgery for the following week but didn't let anyone else know. We had scheduled a one way transport for my brother and we were stressing on how we were going to get back to Alamo with our wheelchair bound brother. Finally the dr reconsidered and kept the appointment day. While waiting the 5 hours a security guard decides to interrupt us to say only 2 people can stay with our brother. There's no one else in the lobby but he's going to chase us off? Seriously? Never this place again.

Going to the hospital is never fun but going to the ER, even less so. This was my first visit here and I cannot emphasize how amazing my experience was (despite my reason going there to begin with). The wait was less than 30 minutes and that was not bad considering it was Saturday evening. From intake to discharge their process ran smoothly. There was a shift change so two different nurses took care of me. Both were very confident and compassionate. The doctor that treated me was great as was the CT tech. To say I was treated with kid gloves is under stating my treatment. They were very thorough and had my medications sent to my pharmacy. I mention this because that's never happened at the other hospitals I've been to. So it was nice because Walgreens had them ready by the time I was discharged.

Hospitals, like many other essential services, don't give a hoot about Yelp reviews. So, while I doubt that my review will be of import to the hospital, it will hopefully serve to inform others as well as make a statement.Like 9/11 changed the priority of flight attendants from comfort to "safety", COVID brought the saying "Not all heroes wear capes". I think that this is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. I'll now explain. My wife went from having moderate abdominal discomfort to excruciating pain inside of an hour. We decided that it was best to not bother with urgent care and go straight to the emergency room. At the Transmountain campus, my wife was able to get checked in and triaged fairly quickly. I'll give them that. However, her pain was quickly escalating by the time they got her into a bed in the ER. When I say "escalating", I mean that my wife was no longer coherent, her blood pressure was skyrocketing, and I was beginning to get concerned that she was either going to have a stroke or go into cardiac arrest. I'm not a physician nor do I play one on TV, but my wife was clearly in severe distress. The nurse that finally came in was there to take blood samples. I was pointing at the increasing blood pressure, the fact that my wife was shaking uncontrollably, and that her eyes were rolled back into her head and demanded that someone give her something to relieve her pain. The nurse kind of rolled her eyes and shot back that I needed to let her "do her job", which she did quite slowly. I said something to the effect of "If my wife has a stroke because of the speed of service in an ER, I'm going to involve a lawyer". Again, she sighed and rolled her eyes. After the nurse finished taking several blood samples, she then told me in a rather patronizing tone that she was then going to send in the doctor to give my wife pain medicine. Meanwhile, my wife was still convulsing. Out of anger, I shouted at her to "HURRY!". She stormed off and soon I heard an overhead announcement for security to come to my wife's ER bed. What followed was a chat with a doctor and a security guard that seemed very excited to list off some rules for folks in the ER and to tell me that they had no problem ejecting me from the campus. Point taken, and totally my fault. I promised to keep my cool and moments later, the doctor came, gave my wife pain medicine, and she immediately felt relief as evidenced by her convulsions stopping. My wife was in so much pain, she had no idea about my shouting at the nurse or the extra visitors that came to her room. So, here's my problem: The nurse simply could have told me "We need to take blood samples to find out what's wrong BEFORE we give her intravenous drugs". No, I wouldn't have been happy, but I probably would have calmed down a bit and probably wouldn't have shouted. Instead, she seemed annoyed that I was asking her to do something other than take blood samples (e.g.: help my wife with her pain). We were in that room for nearly a half hour with only the blood sample collecting nurse coming by. Within two minutes of shouting at the nurse, a doctor (and the excited security guard) showed up and three minutes after that, my wife was receiving pain medication from another doctor. Suddenly, she was getting attention. From my point of view, the nurse may have done her job, but I sure as hell made sure that I did mine. Finally, back to heroes and capes: Hospital staff aren't doing anyone any favors. Superman and Batman don't hand out bills. Nurses and doctors get paid quite well for the work that they are doing, as evidenced by the massive bills my wife and I received for her care. Even during COVID, these folks were making money hand over fist. So, to hell with the heroes and capes. They get paid to do what they do, and they get paid well to do it. Leave it at that and forget the lionizing statements. With that having been said, they should not be immune to expectations of empathy and customer service. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a certain level of customer service from people that are getting thousands of dollars from me and my medical insurance. Again, the incident could have been resolved with the nurse giving a quick explanation of what she was doing and why instead of being dismissive and arrogant to a person whose beloved spouse was clearly in severe distress.

Surgery day turned into total fiasco. This hospital needs competent staff, or retrain for some type of empathy & professionalism. Gonna try restarting process with new MD & facility, hopefully soon.

This is by far the best hospital my husband has been in so far and this year we have been in quite a few. All of the medical personnel are friendly ,caring , and competent so far. Hopefully they will continue to be the outstanding facility they are now. They actually seem to work together as a team.
