World Gym Las Cruces Aerobics Room

Back in the 80's (i.e. the Golden Era), gyms like Gold's and World's dominated the weightlifting/bodybuilding scene. These gyms were generally small, had very little cardio, very few machines, and a lot of weights. These type of gyms are now a dying breed. This World's is old, small, and set up with your non-BS type equipment. I'm hitting up this gym whenever I'm in town. This gym may be small, but there's enough equipment to keep me happy. The cardio room has about 10 machines, while the main floor has all the machines and weights. There's only a few benches, so snag them when you have the opportunity. The corner room is my favorite part of this gym. This is where all the powerlifting equipment and power racks are located. I'm sure that there's plenty of well-equipped gyms in the area. You just won't find me there. This gym equals my happy place. TIP #1: $10 Day PassTIP #2: The dumbbells feel lighter here. TIP #3: Chalk is not allowed. TIP #4: The gym is kept clean and weights are always re-racked. TIP #5: Gym is rarely busy, even during peak hours.2016 Yelp Review #19

We went here for 4 days while staying in Las Cruces. We were there to take care of some personal stuff and never miss a training day. Drop ins are welcome. This gym is big, fully equipped and not too busy. The cardio room kind of sucks because it's in a windowless spot but, there are TV's. We bodybuild so I didn't try the group fitness. Clean locker rooms, lockers work, water available - seems fresh. Staff is friendly, there is a nice private parking lot...it's about a 7 minute drive to the nearest juice bar. All in all we had a great time at this facility. Thanks guys.

Excellent facility. Great staff.I was in town for the weekend and needed a place to finish my lifts. I called ahead and found out The Gym offers a single day pass, has power/squat racks, and bumper plates.I walked in Sunday morning and paid for a single day pass. A towel is required so I had to go out to my car and grab one real quick. The equipment wasn't brand new, but it was in perfectly usable condition. The few people around were really cool about giving me a spot.I have zero complaints about this place. A real no-nonsense gym. I wish There was one next door. Next time I'm in Las Cruces I'll be sure to stop by.

This is fun gym. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the big name gyms but it has what you need to get in shape. There are plenty of classes to choose from. There is a nice mix of free weights and machines. The staff is friendly and helpful.

When my wife and I started looking for a new gym, we wanted different things. She wanted cardio and classes. I wanted free weights and treadmills. We both wanted a fair price and did not want to wait in line for equipment like we did at Globo Gym. We found this place by chance on the return home from a gym we wanted to check out was closed - not a good sign! These guys have everything we need, without hair cuts, tans, or the gimmicks other gyms are using to sucker people in. It's like your neighborhood barbershop, but with free weights, machines, cardio equipment and classes. So far, we have been impressed with the variety of their equipment. Variety is good. Should keep this fun for us. Prices are about $25 per month, which is half to a quarter the cost of similarly equipped competitors. That's good. Having ample equipment with no lines is great! Hopefully most folks will skip this review so we can keep this gem/gym to ourselves. One peeve - they are closed Sundays. They've combated that by giving us access to Primetime Fitness on Sunday. Never been there, but our temp cards have their name on it. Check em out. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I really like this gym! It's nothing super fancy yet, but It is on its way up! They have all the essential equipment and have great classes! They have classes and equipment for all ages and all levels. No need to feel intimidated because the instructors show you how to do the workouts at different levels. They have a barber, juice/shake bar, nail salon, reasonable child care, weight room, and cardio room with TVs. Go check it out!

When this was World Gym it was great! It was just a "basic gym" without the bells and whistles, but the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The new owner and the lady at the front desk are AWFUL! Absolutely no concept of customer service. I have a whole year left on my membership and I will not be returning. They are that RUDE!

Overall a decent gym, the equipment is older but functional. The Ownership of the gym has changed again, it is now owned by the same group as Primetime. It is changing name to the "Gym". Watch your pocket book and do not do auto debit. you will be charged 'fees' from time to time. Once you cancel, the staff is poor at actually terminating the debit fees on your account. The Ban Hammer is likely to come out as well if the owner does not get along with you. Some of the staff is great, others not so much. The trainers Ashley and Oscar and Karen are wonderfull.

Small gym, one of the oldest gyms in Las Cruces, but best service. Staff is absolutely friendly. I have now been a member for 4 months and I already know most of the staff and other gym members. Most staff members already know me by my first name so they personally say hello everytime they run into you in the gym. Personal trainers are available with very reasonalble prices. Great results while having a great time. Great classes also available with great instructors. Zumba is my favorite class which is latin dance arobics, which makes me feel great and puts me in a good mood afterwards.
