This review is actually from my first visit on October 26, 2023. At that time this business had not set up their Yelp account yet. So here goes!I walked in shortly after 7:30pm, with around 30 minutes before closing. My first impression was the remodeling. This place prior to the current owner was Chuy's Burritos, but it closed down in just under a year. The decor then was old, with the main theme still showing miners on the wall. It's now bright and cheerful, with more modern fixtures and modern art by a local artist. It's a lot nicer than I expected for a place called the Feedlot Diner.I asked if the kitchen was still open and the owner, Amy, said "Yes! What can I get for ya?" She made me feel welcome. She took my order and went into the kitchen to start it. Talk about service! The woman sitting at the counter had just gotten off her shift and was eating a cheeseburger. It looked good, and she highly recommended it, but I opted for the Mushroom Pene for $16. I had water to drink. It was delicious! The sauce was a sweet-herbally sauce. There were plenty of mushrooms in it, too. I ate the whole thing and was full when I left.I came by again today, mid afternoon on a Sunday, but the place was not yet open. I will be back to try their cheeseburger next.
