The District Pub & Kitchen

We went last night before heading downtown to see the lights. We the MOST CHARMING waitress, CYNTHIA! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive the entire time we were there. She made it a MOST PLEASURABLE experience, along with the OUTSTANDING AND DELICIOUS FOOD! My wife and friend's wife had the "Half & Half Flautas" and they LOVED THEM (even better than Chico's )! My friend had the Beef Tacos and said they were amazing and so full of flavor! And I had the "Patty Melt" and added Green Chile & Bacon, which I recommend, and it was easily one of the BEST BURGERS I have had in all of El Paso, and I have had many! The flavor was AMAZING, it was cooked to perfection, and the fries were a bit crispy and tasted fabulous! From our AWESOME waitress, in CYNTHIA, who received almost immediately after we sat down, and took care of us KINDLY all night long, to the FANTASTIC FOOD, which didn't disappoint, at all, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND your next outing to eat great food with great service be THE DISTRICT ON AIRWAY! Way to go, guys! You are doing it right! The only thing I would change (and I'm in my 50's...so maybe that has something to do with my dislike) is the music selection, especially during the holidays. Not a fan of the Hip Hop with profanity, especially while I'm eating. And, having everything decorated in the holiday spirit, maybe the music can be just as enjoyable. Today, while our car was being serviced at the nearby dealership, we took a hike and ate our lunch at The District Pub & Kitchen. My wife had the chicken and cheese quesadilla (abundant cheese and chicken) and I had the Cali burger (double burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and cheese). My order came with French fries. Everything was very good. Service was excellent. They were very busy and their music was louder than most places that we have frequented.

Very friendly, i was recommended to try the taquitos and they had a vegetarian option! Papa! The service was great and taquitos were good too. Super close to the airport. Andrew, server, was super friendly and provided exceptional service. Ask for him

Very loud bar, you can't hear your own thoughts. Service was ok, and the food was ...well...I ordered the buffalo chicken tacos and they were inedible. They put so much sauce in the meat and on the tacos I couldn't taste anything after my tongue got scorched by the sauce.The quesadillas were good, my partner enjoyed them. Fries were meh, and their fried pickles were kind of awful. The menu should say fried pickle spears with burnt breading.Probably won't go back, there are other options in the same area (I think I counted 7 bars ).

This is a review of the Discada tacos only. They were outstanding. Keep in mind, this is pub food. And pub is putting it mildly. At 10:45am on a Saturday morning this place was pumping. I had tried a few Mexican restaurants but they were closed for Easter. Yelping "tacos" brought me here. I am glad that it did. The marinated beef and pork were great as were the grilled tortillas. The green salsa was nice and spicy. If it wasn't so dark and loud inside I would have stayed to eat but I got them togo. Bartender was nice too.

OMG! Hands down, the best drowning tacos in town! They are so delicious, full of flavor, and made well. Food prepared well by employees that care about quality is best! We love it here and are fans for life! Now all the need are hot dogs served on hamburger buns with chili beans and they can take over El Paso!

The food wasn't impressive. The bass was SO LOUD that it literally vibrated my purse off of one of the stools. We went to grab a drink and snack and chat - not scream at each other. At least the service was quick.

Context:My wife and I had dinner and drinks here starting around 4:30pm on a Thursday, we'll before rush hour, and possibly before all the staff had arrived. We were definitely hungry and wanted to give this place a try based on the food reviews. Narrative:This is more of a bar with good bar food than it is a pub and kitchen, but definitely a great spot for food tucked away near the airport. Overall a 6/10. It's a great place minus a few small complaints we walked away with, and our experience was handicapped significantly by the service quality and availability.Breakdown:Food was nothing extraordinary, yet still pretty solid, and came out quick 8/10Atmosphere was really cool visually, just slightly loud music for our preference, and this really petty, but worth the feedback that the bar stools were slightly short for the bar 7/10Prices were incredibly reasonable for the portions and quality received 10/10Service left a lot to be desired, as we were one of three groups at the bar, and still had to fight for any sort of attention or service, even at just 5pm. Bartender said all of maybe 5 words to us the whole time. We could have definitely stuck around and ordered more and Therefor offered more business and tip, if the service would have supported it, so unfortunately for that category it's 2/10Conclusion:If it's convenient for us to do so in the future, we'll probably try again and hope for better service, but until then, it's an experience with great food, drinks, setting, that just didn't have the hospitality or attention we'd expect out of a bar of this quality.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you're looking to hang out with a few friends and listen to loud music, then that's what you'll do here. Otherwise, it doesn't offer much. Chips and queso were good though!
