The Cake Boutique

I ordered delivery for a family member for his birthday during this COVID crisis...and cake boutique did an excellent job. Not only did they write a happy birthday note for my relative, but they added an extra cupcake! He told me the cupcakes are delicious - he hasn't eaten them all yet, but he's definitely enjoyed the ones he's tried. Seeing the reviews I notice a lot are outdated. If you're craving anything during the COVID Crisis then order some desert from Cake Boutique!

I'm not sure what this place has several bad reviews. I couldn't even take pictures of the cupcakes of how good they were so I don't understand. Anyway my friend asked me to stop by and pick up some "tres leches cupcakes" I got to the place and the girl who was obviously the baker (with her apron and powder on her face and hands) was super nice she came and told me about the specials they have I was specifically there for the cupcakes so I grab the dozen for $25 she just had 11 tres leches cupcakes o I asked for a carrot one to complete the dozen. They accept cash, card and Apple Pay. The place smells delicious like bread just baked, and the cupcakes once we ate them we couldn't had enough of them. Recommend this place I haven't tried the cakes but so far the cupcakes were really good Totally recommended

TLDR; My experience with this business was not pleasant. It would be better for you to go into the store and draw your order for them than use reference photos. Ask for your order early so if there's a mistake, they have time to fix it. My friends had better experiences with their cake when they ordered in Spanish. Maybe just order from Albertsons.The specifics:I was referred to this business through my friend who ordered a cake for her engagement party. The cake was accidentally made larger than what she ordered, but they didn't charge her extra for their mistake.While we waited for hers, we had a few of their cupcakes and we enjoyed them. The cake ended up tasting great too, so I decided to order.I tried emailing them through their website, but never received a reply.I contacted them through their Facebook so it would be easier. I wouldn't recommend this because it was a mess. I also called them later to give my deposit and confirm my order was correct. The woman I spoke to repeated my order including** the details back to me, so I didn't think there would be a problem. I couldn't go to the store to confirm my details because I live out of town.My order was $173 for:- Custom 6 inch cake (65)- 12 custom strawberry cupcakes (4.50/cupcake)- 12 custom dulce de leche cupcakes (4.50/cupcake)I sent them pictures and a linear list of the items I wanted.What was wrong:- the anchor cake didn't have pink icing detail on the top (not a huge problem)- the cupcakes didn't have the right designsThe reference photo shows white icing with anchors and starfish in blue icing.I asked for 12 cupcakes with blue anchors and 12 cupcakes with pink starfish (so we could tell the cupcakes apart).I got 24 cupcakes with blue fondant anchors on white fondant with white icing below.- the cake was burned (but I couldn't know this until after we cut it)How they dealt with it:- defensive- argumentative - would not apologize - didn't offer to correct it until I asked- didn't offer an alternative/solution - blamed me for the order being wrong- told me I would need to wait an additional 3 hours - didn't offer a refund for the design being wrong on 12 cupcakes at minimumI wanted my order to be right. I didn't care for a full refund because at least i had the right flavor cupcakes. Even if they couldn't completely redo my order, they could've offered to make pink fondant starfish on white fondant so it would look cohesive or offer me some sort of reimbursement for 12 of them not having the detail I wanted.I thought the cost was going to hiring a professional, but there were way too many inconsistencies. There's no way for you to guarantee your order will be right unless you babysit them the entire way and ensure you think of enough time for them to correct any mistakes.How was the finished product?I've had better for less and I've made better The dulce de leche was plain white cake with caramel in the middle. The only thing satisfying about the strawberry cupcakes was the filling.The cupcakes were all eaten.The cake was burned.Update: at 11:11PM the following evening (33 hours after I needed the cake), they apologized and offered a credit to be used on a future cake. I appreciate the apology and the alternative, but this was something that shouldn't have taken over a day to figure out.

Do went went here yesterday and ordered a Strawberry, lemon, and carrot cake cupcake. I also ordered Macaroons. Everything came out to 25 bucks. Which I thought wad a little pricey. The macaroons were great. The box I purchased came with only 9 macaroons. The only cupcake in ate was the lemon cupcake and it didn't like that I was tasting 2 different kinds of lemon flavor in the icing and the cake itself. The flavors literally collided. The icing when I got to the middle was so thick that it felt like pudding at one point. I really wanted the red velvet but the color wasnt red and looked more chocolate..truly a bummer. Might come back for the macaroons.

Never disappointed when I stop at cake boutique's. We've got birthday cakes, cupcakes, cookies and novelty cakes there over the years, it's all fresh and delicious. The employees are friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable.I have been order custom cakes for 6 years in a row

So reading through other reviews, this place is hit or miss. And for us, it was definitely a miss. I always wanted to try their cupcakes as they're surrounded by cute fashionable boutiques, and their shop has cute decorations. And the name "cupcake boutique".... Made me think that their cakes couldn't be bad. It was a lady who took care of us but I could definitely see why they're getting bad reviews based on their customer service. I got a red velvet cupcake and a cake ball.. (I forgot the name) but the cupcake was not even close to call it fresh. It was so dry and the frosting was hard. It just wasn't right. Reading other reviews makes me think that we just went on a bad day, but again it's not right if a cupcake place doesn't sell fresh cupcakes.

Cupcakes are OK. Nothing to write about. The little cake balls were amazing though!

Oh boy, where do I begin. The cupcake bread is dry. The frosting was good. But out of 12 cupcake favors I tried, there were only 2 flavors I liked and enjoyed: the Red Velvet and Birthday Sprinkles. I would only recommend these 2 flavors. Also, the cupcakes are pricey!

Absolutely love their cupcakes, I have yet to purchase a large order from them- but I have high expectations for the price! They are so sweet as soon as you walk in and make sure

I ordered 2 red velvet cupcakes thru uber eats and they tasted like fridge, the dough was cold and not tasty at all. I don't know if this is only a problem with the cupcakes but they really should solve it.
