The Bungalows At Hueco Estates

I really dislike these apartments. I am not a needy tenant and tend to mind my own business and hardly contact the staff. When you do need something though, they are real bothered. Maintenance is great, very friendly and get things done quickly but other than that... My neighbors smoke all day and night and my guest bathroom smells horrible. I've complained so many times and nothing has been done. I asked for a carport for so long and it was sitting there empty... they didn't give it to me until a moving truck basically destroyed my new car in a regular parking spot. They never answer the phone. Never. And the pool, good luck with that ever being open and if it is, it's freezing all the time and kids run around like crazy and there's no order. I'm very happy to be moving out.

They used covid as an excuse to not open their office and string their tenants along avoiding their issues.

I lived here for a year. For 7 out of the 12 months, I lived with roaches. The pest control company was at my apartment on a weekly basis spraying my apartment. When that didn't work to get rid of the infestation, I was in instructed to take all my stuff out of the kitchen... for 4 months my kitchen was not useable- all my appliances and food were in the dining area and stores in the wash room. Pest control stopped showing up but would leave traps everywhere... nothing helped until finally the manager of the pest place came which 7 months later resolved the issue. I must note that during these times of frequent visits from both unwanted roaches and the pest control company, my dogs were sick frequently. Their stomachs were always upset and I suspect the chemicals or the roaches have something to with it as I have been out 2 months and my pets no longer suffer from frequent diarrhea. I must also note that during the last 3 weeks of being a tenant, another person in the building started seeing roaches too. On top of that, the walls are THIN, management are pool nazis, the trees are never cut so your car can get nice and scraped up, parking sucks, the dumb gate is ALWAYS breaking. Also they were nice enough to send me into collections.... I never received any move out bill or phone call. STAY AWAY.

Terrible place to even apply to. They will take 5 days to process an application. They are rude and entitled. Fair warning: stay away.

2023: The ethics and principles lacking in this management office go beyond disappointment. I lived here over 4 years, moving in when originally called The Bungalows. When I moved in, I was receiving a monthly discount for the old carpet in my unit, but when I went to move-out Lifestyles is trying to charge me carpet charges despite providing evidence the carpet was old on my move-in form, lease, and monthly statements from the Bungalows clearing stating I was getting a discount due to the old carpet. When trying to resolve, office assistance manager Debbie ignored my emails and would not return any of my numerous calls. The amount of the money is irrelevant, it's the principle that this management office is issuing out fraudulent charges upon move-out. If you do move in to these apt's, my suggestion is to do a full walk through and document everything on your move-in inventory and make them write on the form exactly when the carpet was replaced and document every spot found under black light because when you go to move out they will say it was brand new carpet even if it was not. But then again, I have proof and they're still trying to charge me fraudulent charges.

Husband and I have lived here since January of 2020 and currently do. We have two cars, one doesn't get driven due to it breaking down. I STILL make the payments! The manager decided to call and get my car towed due to it being "abandoned" even though it isn't. The car is on my files with the apartment. Seems they didn't even try seeing who it belonged to and never realized the owner STILL LIVES HERE. Absolutely ridiculous. Luckily, we got orders to leave. Can't wait to get out of these apartments. That's only one of the many problems we've had here, but by far the WORST.

I've live here 6 months now and have not seen one roach, just saying. It's pleasant, well kept, very friendly staff. The pool and gym are great advantages, bbq areas, dog park. Close to so many things, location is very convenient I love it here, feel safe and cozy. However, the walls are thin. Why anyone would put a single person under someone with a toddler is beside me but guess what....it happens. My neighbors are pleasant and keep to themselves. I just wish the walls were more soundproof. Also, the staff is very attentive and communication is great.

Woke up Wednesday to cockroaches crawling all over my front door, the patio and patio walls. I called the front office to see if they could do anything about this situation and they said that pest control could go and spray on TUESDAY!! I ask them what they think i should do with the cockroaches until then the lady in the front said use bug spray and pick them up! For $1200 that i pay every month I expect something to be done about stuff like immediately!! My dog barks for more than 5 mins and there they are calling me because he's disturbing neighbors! But it seems they cant even deal with their cockroach problem! Super glad i signed 6 month lease because ive been here 3 months and im ready to leave!!

Horrible staff, really common sense is not common for the office. I can make a list of how trash there service is but really it'd be pointless. Just to give a example of how bad there amenities are bad, on Father's Day the pool is closed...beware of living here.

The staff there are completely useless and absolutely the rudest people my neighbor above me would literally beat his wife and they would fight soooooo much and they stomped all day and night and when I started to tell the office because I kept my mouth shut for like 2 months and put up with it until I couldn't even sleep the neighbors started doing it on purpose whenever they were home and I mean they even got their little son to purposely run back and fourth and jump off their couches and would literally laugh and it got to the point I would literally call the front office and the officer in the apartments who handles "complaints" literally every single damn day I complained for over a month didn't do a damn thing the neighbor even tried fighting me and threatened to shoot me and still nothing! Yet when the corona virus hit and I lost my job and my last check came in the mail and I hadn't eaten in days and I had already paid for my mailbox key one lady told me I could use the spare they have to open it and get my mail like she had let me the day before to see if my check came in but she tells me yes then another woman hops on the line and tells me no we're not allowed to have contact with anyone when I was just told I could use the key I laughed because they were all in there having contact with eachother and I told them I pay 1200$ a month here and your seriously going to make me break into my own mailbox after I already paid for a key and was still waiting on that and they said to wait till Monday for the maintenance to make a key with their machine that makes keys that they have on sight! And she said no then we're gonna charge you for the Damages lol I hadn't eaten in 2 days so you could imagine my frustration especially after just loosing my job also and giving the rest of my savings to my daughters mother for them to be good.. they eventually pressed charges against me for criminal mischief lmfaooo the investigator of the case literally didn't even let me explain my side of the story and stopped me dead in my tracks that she doesn't want me to waste my time telling her what happened cause she already tried talking to the ladies in the front office and they were rude and just sounded pathetic woman who's just upset because And judgmental because I have tattoos and what not and seemed like she was just out to get me and and it was childish and bitchy. I have never been so speechless in my life smfh and also if your anything but white and you don't look like you belong in those high class apartments you will have the worst stay ever.. I'm Mexican and have tattoos and stretched ears but I run my own company I own a Lexus and can afford to pay 1200$ a month at age 27 and I was treated like scum even when I moved out my mail kept being sent their so I'd have to go over and get it and they literally screamed at me to leave the premises and threatened to call the cops as I was talking to the nice mail man smh absolutely pathetic and these apartments are terribly made btw they may look super nice but the San Marcos apartments on Zaragoza are better tbh and that's saying a lot! And they delete a lot of the poor reviews also btw
