Got my minivan to this location upon recommendation. Did amazing work and explained the process. Took a while because Jonny is doing everything himself. Warranty is amazing. Had a complete rebuild of my transmission. Price was better than i was quoted elsewhere.

I limped along from Alamogordo to El Paso just so that I could have these folks work on my car and it was the best decision I could have made. Johnnie and his staff worked wonders and repaired my vehicle completely and in less time than anticipated. I initially thought that my transmission was the problem, but after a short drive it was determined that the differential was probably the main issue. They showed me the big metal chunks that was discovered inside. Yikes!I liked how they kept me informed every step of the way, from diagnosis, to their process of obtaining the part, and estimate of when the work could be finished. More than anything else, they also made sure that I understood the options available and the costs involved with each option. Suffice it to say that I am very satisfied with their work. Highly recommended!!

John the owner talked to me personally about my transmission. I was asking around for a flush, John explaines I didnt need one and the difference between a flush and am Tramny oil change. I was relieved to hear my car was good. Would I recommend this place HECK TO THE YEAH!! I was also lucky to go in and get out in a timely manner. Thanks Texican Mechanics, you guys rock!!

This was the shop I used when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss. John, the owner, is an old school mech that is more interested in fixing the car than just finding crap to fix and charge you for. The prices were always fair and he put our cars back together after crapping out on more than one occasion.He can save you a buck by doing quick fixes that will keep it going. Or if you are like me, let him know you want the full gambit on a repair. I have told him certain things I wanted done, such as a radiator drain and flush-if the car did not need it, he would tell me so straight to my face. That saves me money and develops trust. The only downside to this shop is it can get busy and you may have to wait a couple days.

Still waiting on them to make it right. My receipt says there was a 12 month warranty but alas the people here have still failed to do anything for the hundreds of dollars I am out. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. The guy won't even call me to tell me he is boning me for over 600 dollars.

I was visiting El Paso for a week. I found myself dealing with a dead Corolla 2 days before my return trip to Utah. I suspected a starter as the battery voltage was perfect. I was sorta in a pickle. I picked this business ONLY because he was close to me. Just a shot in the dark. I researched them a little beforehand on the BBB and saw an A+ rating, so I had the car towed there and crossed my fingers. Well, the owner Johnny called a couple hours after my car was delivered to him, and confirmed yes it was a dead starter. He told me a price, which I later confirmed by phoning a Toyota dealer, was LESS than half of a quote from a dealership in El Paso. He said it would be done the next day, and even offered to bring the car back to me. I was able to get a ride there the next day after he called again telling me it was finished and the quoted price was exactly what I paid. LESS than 24 hours and he was done with it! Johnny was very professional, and very nice. I may never need a mechanic in El Paso again, but if I do, I won't go anywhere else. Overall a very fast and fair deal. He saved my cookies!

This business has good reviews, has an A+ with BBB, and its a member of ATRA. That is why I chose to have my vehicle's transmission rebuilt there. But, I have had a terrible experience with this business. Took my explorer to have transmission rebuilt in 2014 and had to take it back three times to have it reworked on. Besides having transmission reworked on three times, I also was back in that shop many times because of issues with transmission every time he reworked on it but, they, John and his workers, always dismissed me saying it was something else. Twice he tried to blame the vehicle's computer or the electrical wires when I had to take it back to him because o/d light came on. He made me feel like he was trying to charge me to fix an imaginary problem that did not exist when all along it was the transmission that he was not fixing correctly. I truly believe that he did a repair instead of a rebuilt because the transmission has failed three times. I can only hope that this last time he truly fixed it and put the new parts he claimed because my warranty is expiring soon. I paid for a rebuilt not a quick fix that should only last until warranty expires.

I wasn't sure where to take my vehicle and when I called to ask for a quote, John the owner answered and was very honest and forthcoming. They got the leak fixed for a very reasonable price and did great work. While they were working on that, my wife's vehicle had the engine light come on and John was kind enough to squeeze that one in so that we weren't out two vehicles. Needless to say, if we have any more engine problems, Texican will have a 3 peat customer.

First of all, I had never done business with this shop in the past, until about two weeks ago. I am one of those people that dont go to a mechanic that is not recommended, but my transmission was in need of a complicated repair and I knew it had to be some one certified, that way it would be worth spending the money. I went by the reviews the shop has online, everything I could find. I could not find a dispute unresolved. So I went for it, they offered a fair price for the repair, kept me updated. When I went to pick up my SUV, Johnny (the owner) showed me the parts that were replaced. Excellent customer service. After I picked up my SUV, when I came home I noticed a wired noise, I took it back the next day, and Johnny checked it out right away. They replaced the part that needed to be changed with no extra charge. He said so him self "if its something we did, we will take care of it." and he did just that. Not only that but the warranty I got on my rebuilt transmission is good for one year and valid nation wide, so this was a good investment. So overall, a job well done!!
