After a day of travel, decided to try this restaurant recommended by the hotel receptionist. Overall, the dish was pretty good. The rice was a little mushy. Waiter was curious and took the time to go over the menu with me. This restaurant also has little separate bar. There was some sort of drag show going on. Restaurant does have a few TVs as well which was pretty cool cuz I was able to watch the playoff baseball game. Honestly, I don't think I would return for the food.

Food was decent, although a tad pricey for what I got. The service was below average, although friendly. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so lack of customer service wasn't due to them being busy. I've been wanting to try it since they opened, I won't be going back. I guess seeing a completely empty parking lot during the lunch hour should have been clue that it's not great.

Today, my wife and I went to the new restaurant, Taqueria Que Pasa, in the former Dickey's Barbeque location on Valley Drive in Las Cruces. The interior has lots of nice Mexico decor - tables and booths. We were served chips with 3 dipping sauces for a starter. My wife had the carnitas tostados and I had the carnitas con queso tacos. Both of our lunches had an abundance of meat with a small container of onions and cilantro. The meat was tasty. The service could have been better because I had to take my glass to the front counter for a drink refill. We will probably return to try different entrees.

Nope. Extremely limited menu. Tortillas for the tacos so greasy they were dripping and nearly inedible. When I mentioned it, I was told "that's the way they like them." Who "they" is was unclear. But it ain't me.An attempt at a salsa bar that really could use some variations and flavor. Red was hot, green was watery and pico needed lime and cilantro. I would be surprised if it lasts to the end of the year.

We were passing through Las Cruces, and this restaurant was near our hotel. It had 5 star reviews. It was terrible!! Our first clue was a near empty restaurant, but it was a Tuesday night. The next red flag (when we should have walked out) was the stale, cold, terrible chips. All the salsas were AWFUL. We were so excited to order Mexican food in New Mexico, but it was a total bust!

My fiancé and I have come here twice and both times we were disappointed in the food and service. First time we came I ordered the chicken flautas and my fiancé ordered the tacos Al pastor. The flautas weren't good and were drenched in crema and cheese which made it overpowering and gross, (reminded me of cottage cheese) they give very little rice and beans, the beans were cold. Second time we came I ordered the ramen birria which was the worst, noodles were still hard and the meat was nothing but fat. I took a few bites and couldn't take anymore it was so bad, my fiancé ordered the tacos Al pastor again and they came out cold and with little to no rice or beans on the side and they gave us the driest limes ever. The horchata was very watered down, The "salsa bar" was terrible they only had 2 salsas, green and red.

I stopped in at Taqueria Que Pasa for lunch. I found the place open, bright, and clean inside with a long bar running down one side of the restaurant toward a small stage at the west end where some rowdy entertainment occurs in the evenings. Close to the entrance was a salsa bar. I sampled three different salsas and found them all wanting. None had much flavor. Rate the salsas about a "C-." The service at Que Pasa this day was performed by a waiter who did a nice job. He was efficient, helpful, and attentive. I was provided with a bowl of tortilla chips which were pretty good...above average. I ordered their Birria Taco Plate which came with Mexican rice, refried beans, a cup of consomme, and four medium sized tacos right off the grill. The rice was the usual. The refried beans were quite good...above average. The conomme was weak on flavor and kind of greasy. It was not good. Rate it a "D." The tacos were difficult to hold in your hands, at least for the first five or ten minutes, because of the hot grease on them. The shredded beef inside had little flavor and was likewise greasy. These were below the norm Birria Tacos despite the fact that it is one of Que Pasa's specialty dishes. Rate the Birria Tacos a "C-." I would not look forward to them a second time. Overall, rate the dining experience THREE STARS. The ambiance was ok, the service good, and the food overall below the Las Cruces standard. Probably will not be returning.

The cockroaches bending over the toilets heaving warned me not to eat here. I should have listened. This is a picture of what I believe is their food dispenser. The food was expensive and awful. Never eating at this restaurant ever again. Not only will you leave with a bad taste in your mouth, but you will also be pissed at how much you paid for it. The cantina is loud and small. Perhaps their success will be determined by how many patrons they can get drunk before ordering food.
