Tall City Bistro

One of my favorite places in midland. It's a bit of a hidden gem, down a dingy alley under a bank. But let me tell you as soon as you walk in and the owner greets you with a big smile and makes you feel welcome, you'll know you're in for a real treat. This guy goes above and beyond for customer service, one time I was talking to my gf about how much I liked the chips in the refried beans but wished I had more he brought out a plate of them sans charge! Or a buddy didn't know their potatoes had onions in them he got them exchanged no questions asked. Never had a bad experience here, and they just recently renovated so it looks like a pleasant bistro on the inside now. You can't go wrong with the midlander skillet, or their special breakfast platter which comes with everything you could want on a fancy wooden platter. I also enjoyed their lunch offerings, the green chili chicken enchiladas especially. If you give them a shot you won't be disappointed.

This is a really hidden spot for breakfast. The people that work in downtown Midland offices know about Tall City Bistro but I had a hard time finding it. The food there was really yummy though. We enjoyed our breakfast platters and the food presentation was spot on!

Difficult location to find and the food was marginal at best. Service staff was polite, but it took longer than expected to get our food. I probably won't return here.

The food was amazing. Best pancakes I have ever had. I didn't even know you make pancakes this good. And this is coming from the Pancake King. Fiancés omelet was good but the hash browns were top notch. Perfectly cooked. Manny Garcia provided excellent service the entire time and was very kind polite and attentive. He told us everything was made from scratch and I was shooketh. The restaurant is very clean bright, cute, and delicious. WE WILL BE BACK.

Savoring a satisfying brunch experience at Tall City Bistro.Service was great. Food presentation and quality was a treat!

Yesterday I got to try this item that is in the "secret menu" at tall city for breakfast. Manny used his extensive background in French culinary to creat something unique for us. 3 crepes stuffed with Canadian bacon, topped with warm blue berries and cranberries on a wine reduction sauce and condensed milk. All that and two eggs. The sweet and salty combination of the crepes was on point.

The food was ok- really needs a better location. Had a hard time finding it as the entrance was in an alley with a single sign.

Definitely a hole in the wall. Very hard to find. Weird ambiance due to the location. But the food and service were both phenomenal, which outweighed the setting for me! The server was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend it and will be eating there again!
