So I'm a huge believer in food trucks! However this was a first time I was actually really let downSo I visited this truck with my wife and family at the pop the fort concert yesterday and besides having to stand in line for what seemed forever I wasn't to worried of what I was going to be tasting. Takorexico specializes in what seems to be an Asian infused style of Mexican comfort food, tacos. In all my life I was convinced that the hardest thing to accomplish was a way to ruin tacos. I mean I've had straight up potato tacos and those rocked more than what I had last night . I had the Kalbi Asada Tako which had seared Bulgogi steak and a Jamaican pear slaw. It was ok. It sorta lacked flavor and the slaw was way too overpowering for the beef they used. The beef itself was seasoned very little and the beef had no flavor as well. Over all if all their tacos tasted like that then I probably won't be visiting again. If it was just an off night maybe I'll go back for seconds. Oh! And they had run out of fish and corn as part of their menu. So a limited menu was a culprit too.

I have eaten here several times as I work downtown close to Foodville. I have yet to be disappointed by their food and recommend everyone at work try it. Every taco on the menu has a unique flavor and I wish it was an all you can eat setting, but I would run them out of business if it was.

They may have this high tech truck but that's not gonna make the food taste better. Tacos are a tad overpriced for size but definitely overpriced for the quality you are getting. Tacos were cold and had chunks of ginger that I had to dispose of. Would not recommend, sorry guys

Minerpalooza. Food trucks. Should be a match made in heaven. The truck itself looks beautiful, and draws you in. I was hoping for some good food. Instead, I got an order of mediocre tacos. One star may be a little harsh, but 2 stars seems to be a little too much. The price? $3 per taco. $8 for 3. $11 for 5. The tacos were small-ish, single corn tortilla, street tacos. A little pricey, but if the quality was good, I would be be OK with the price. Problem was, the tacos were bad. Overall, the sauces and accompaniments for the tacos were all good. The flavors were good. The protein on the taco was just not cooked well. Basically, bad execution of some potentially good ideasThe tortillas felt like they may as well have been store-bought and put into the microwave. No chew to the tortilla at all, and not really warmed up. When you make bulgogi, you need to have something in the marinade to tenderize the meat (Asian pear, kiwi, pineapple, and/or Sprite tend to be the standard choices). Otherwise, you end up with a tough meat. The beef in the tacos was tough, stringy. Seasoned well. But terribly cooked meat. The pork was a cooked a little better than the beef, but nothing to write home about. But the worst offense was the fish. If you fry off fish early, and then leave it there, and then put it on a taco, you end up with cold, greasy, soggy mush. Someone has to step in there and realize that they're serving crap food, but unfortunately, no one did.
