The girl working was very nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I've had sushi burritos before in DC and this was 10x better.

Time to update my review and I am not happy at all. I just paid $25 for a poke bowl and got completely ripped off. They skimped on the regular tuna and didn't even add the spicy tuna, eel, or the seaweed salad that I added to my bowl. It was mostly just the spring mix but my bowl wasn't even filled to the top. For $25 I expect enough food to at least get full. This was the worst poke bowl I've ever had. They lost a customer today and I was a loyal customer at one point in time. I'm livid right now.

For a quick easy a sushi fix this is a spot to go to. Nothing like my old spots I use to have back home. But this can definitely do for now.Mi live the ambiance of the store is quite, clean, happy, and joyous when you walk in. Everyone is always doing something even when it's slow as heck. The service is quick and happy. They love checking in with you and seeing how the meal was and your day. The food for being considered a fast food place it's not bad at all I definitely take this over Albertsons sushi bar any day!

I received an email from Square with a 10% off coupon for this Sushi Freak location and at first I thought this was fake because I haven't been to a Sushi Freak in years (why were they emailing me now?) and I didn't know Las Cruces had another location. I tried to place the order online and unfortunately ran into a number of problems. The website wouldn't let me schedule a pickup for today, it was only giving me the option to pick up tomorrow at the earliest. I applied the coupon code and it was verified but when I went to check out, the code was removed and the discount was deleted. The tax wasn't applied either, it was marked as $0. Apparently the website would let me proceed with a pickup for tomorrow and no tax but it was obvious to me that the site had issues so I called in my order instead. The person I was talking to was friendly and when I said I had a coupon code they seemed somewhat suspicious and asked where I got the code and when I said Square emailed it to me, they said it was fine. After I got my order total the person on the line asked me to pay over the phone and give them my credit card number. I asked why I couldn't pay at the restaurant and they said it was for accountability reasons and to make sure I actually picked up the order. I was hesitant but then they did a 180 and said I could pay when I picked up the order. The food would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. There was a lot of traffic so I arrived around 25 minutes after I called in the order. When I was paying, the staff were really apologetic about the phone conversation and they said they didn't want to pressure me into giving my card info over the phone. It wasn't a big deal but I got this weird vibe as if they were required to at least try to get me to pay over the phone but they weren't going to push it if I said no, which is what happened. I asked if they we're having issues with people placing orders and not picking them up and after a moment, the staff said "not at this location". I left a nice tip and was on my way. I ordered three rolls to split between myself and my friends: the Calamari Crunch, the Alaskan Eskimo, and the Dragon. They all tasted exactly the same as the ones at the Telshor location but these rolls looked like care and attention was put into making them. The to-go containers were made out of paper instead of giant plastic cases like I've seen before. Overall it was a decent experience. I had sworn off going to a Sushi Freak again but I may be coming back to the Lohman location sometime. Maybe not often because the prices are what get to me the most (the prices are all over the place but its an average of $12 for a roll and $13 for a sushi burrito). The online ordering website needs some improvements and hopefully they work out the bugs. The website address this location uses (https://sushi-freak.square.site) is different from the Telshor location (https://www.sushifreakonline.com) , just FYI.Edit: When I looked at the receipt that Square sent me, the discount was applied as "Law Enforcement/Military".

I would have given more stars if not for the safety concerns. The girl who made my food blew into her glove before putting it on. She asked me the same questions multiple times, it was clear that she wasn't paying attention to what I was saying when I was ordering. The sushi was fine, but I've had grocery store sushi that tastes better.

We had an early dinner here. It was very loud inside, the music was pretty loud and not necessary. They helped guide us in what to order. My husband really liked his NM roll. Mine was just ok, it was hard to eat cuz it wouldn't stay rolled. It wasn't tight so each slice fell apart so it had to be scooped up. I was not so impressed and probably wouldn't return. When we left there was not an employee in sight, they hung out in the back the entire time we were there.
