My experience with this business has been nothing short of anything but amazing. The level of detail and care that the staff and Dr. Foote provide towards their patients are extraordinary. One thing this office does well is provide you the best eye care that best fits the individual, whether it's the news you were expecting to hear or not, they provide you with excellent recommendations ensuring they have done their due diligence on making sure all their numbers and assessments are correct. I just barely started coming to this office as it was recommended by a family friend, and I'm now planning on making this my permanent optometrist. 10/10 would recommend if there was any hesitation on coming here.

This is my lasik experience review. I went in on October 1st for an annual eye exam. All staff were very friendly and the cleanliness is great. All patients must wear a mask, all staff are in masks, there is hand sanitizer everywhere, patients must wash hands before being seen, and all equipment is wiped down before using. During my appointment I asked about lasik and was able to speak to someone immediately who went through all procedure options and financial options. They were kind enough to schedule me for an appointment on October 9th. At my appointment I was seen by David who is very friendly and breaks down everything which made me feel at ease. He also informed me they had a special for law enforcement and government which brought my total under $4k. This includes follow-ups for 6 months. My next appointment was on October 12th where they ran all tests again, set me up with CareCredit (0% interest for 18 months!), and I began taking my eye drops. My lasik prosecute was on October 15th. (They have procedures every Thursday of the week). My boyfriend was able to watch the entire procedure and record it from a separate room through a window. David was there and continued to explain everything which is soooo appreciated when you can't see. They send you home with a backpack containing coupons, goggles, and sunglasses. My eyes did sting for a few hours until I fell asleep but it's now the next morning and I came for my follow-up appointment. I'm 20/20 in my right and 20/15 in my left. Vision will continue to improve over 24 hours so they're going to get better throughout the day. But I'm so satisfied I was eager to already write a review. Sun Laser is a wonderful office with knowledgeable doctors and staff members. I am so happy I came here and I will recommend them to all my friends and coworkers moving forward.

Got my eyes and my boyfriend eyes PRK done during th quarantine. It's the best choice I've ever made in my life, having super high prescription and have to wear glasses or contact or else I wouldn't see anything. Now after the surgery, I can see clearly and no need to go through all of the craziness every morning and night. I absolutely recommend anyone to get it done, the best investment to make. All of the staffs and Dr. Foote was super nice to us.

I wrote a detailed review in the other Sun Laser Vision Center yelp profile...surprised there are two claimed yelp pages for the same business. What I said is the truth, and I'm very disappointed.

Most frustrating experience ever! Staff neither friendly nor helpful AT ALL!! Made an appt last August to see Dr Foote in April. Get to the appt only to find out they moved me to the new Dr at the office! Not phone call to me asking prior. They just let me drive all the way from NM without a clue!! After arguing with the front desk for several minutes, she finally talked me into seeing new Dr. Guess what new Dr said? That I had to see Dr Foote! But he could not see me that same day!! I had to pay my co-pays for nothing! And they wanted me to make another appt, and drive all the way back to see Dr Foote AND pay another co-pay! Not one person there cares about my eyes! They just apparently wanted my money!

The Optical Department is Inept. Dr Foote is excellent, however those under his employ for helping you with your glasses are totally inept.I went in to order new glasses with my new prescription, and the associate (don't remember his name - older, retirement age), helped me. He was unaware at how to look up my VSP benefits, and the lady behind the desk needed to help. That should have been my first red flag.I picked my frames out, and while doing so he looked at my existing pair (Oakley Servos- had a crack in the plastic frame) He took them and advised he could "fix" them. I never asked for this. He took them and brought hem back a few minutes later- HE MELTED THE COATING ON THE LENSES- this resulted in which looks like viewing through grease on my glasses. I was told my new ones would take 12 plus days to get- I said this was not good. He offered to replace the lenses and have them ready in two days while my newly ordered frames went to VSP.Two days go by, and he came and picked up the frames at my place (very nice). However once completed, I went over to see them as I could not see out of the new glasses- Everything was a "Fish Bowl" view. In addition, the lenses were cheap thick poly-carbonate, not high index which I had before this debacle. He surmised the "Fish Bowl" is because they curved the frames, and that parallax effect was the issue. He said he would straighten them- I jokingly advised, PLEASE cover the lenses so they don't melt. Guess what, HE MELTED THEM AGAIN!! UNREAL. I almost had an aneurysm right there in the office and died.Another area I didn't mention, which now has merit- he saw the nose (bridge) was dirty so he pulled out his pocket knife to scrape them clean. REALLY??!! WOW- FLOORED.Needless to say I am flabbergasted. WOW. So I tell them, I want to cancel my frames/lenses I have on order, as I have no faith ($423.00). They advised they could not make another pair of lenses to fix what they did. WHAT? WHY? They said Dr Foote needs to be involvedAnd now I have no glasses, and I am getting a run around from the management at Sun Eye Care... Of course the Doctor is unavailable to talk to, and has no voicemail. Take your business elsewhere- Or at least until they rid themselves of this unqualified, inept Optical Associate! If they reach out to me and make this right I will update this review- If not, I hope people see this and realize what has happened.

i'm sitting here 41 minutes past my appointment time, without having been called in, yet. as a result, i'll be missing another appointment i had today, incurring a 79$ missed-appointment fee. so, regardless of how good the doctor ends up being, it won't make up for this blatant disregard for a new patient's time. avoid.

Excellent care from the staff and doctors. I have been a patient for 2 years, started with Dr. Kahn and when she left the practice Dr. Weber. The wait is long but the doctor does spend quality time when its my turn to be seen. If I have questions, need prescription, change of eye drops or any other concerns I get return call the same day from technicians which to me that's a plus compared to other doctors offices who just don't ever call you back. I do recommend Sun Laser Vision Center to anyone needing eye care.

I never new it was wrong to try helping another person or should I say my son out. When you see your son in pain and can not see due to a injury no matter what AGE they are a mother should able to call the office and not be rudely told they can not speak to me. Than I get my son on the phone with representative and he was told that he is an adult and needs to figure it out on his own basically. Representative told son Mother could not call for him. I think that is so sad and rude that there are people and places in this world that have no consideration for others or their well being. Literally all I was trying to do is what any mother would and HELP the situation as he was inquiring about a medication needed. Even if I was not allowed the information to be given to me the comment to him was very rude unprofessional and not needed. HOW SAD!

Run, If you care about your service!! The staff were nice, except the new office manager Miriam doesn't care about correcting their errors. My story begins when they force EVERYONE to get a refraction test costing EVERYONE $ 42 dollars which no insurance covers. (Refraction test is for people that need an eye glasses prescription NOT someone for Glaucoma patience & their high eye pressures). So every year and every patient will be charged this out of pocket mandatory cost. Another issue was they have always overcharged my co-pay by $10 dollars every time I've had an appointment with them for the years I've been with them. They always insisted they charged my correct co-pay even when I questioned it until I challenged them by calling my insurance and discovered their errors. Another issue was I always requested to see Dr. M. Foote, but was always seen by the other doctor and never able to have contact with Dr. Foote. Not that the 2nd doc wasn't good, but I couldn't place my concerns to the rightful owner of this practice. Another issue was when I was prescribed a medication, it took their office 1 1/2 months to finally send the prescription to my carrier. Believe me this was finally sent after calls and calls until they finally sent it. Another issue was when they gave me a sample of a new trial medication to see if it worked for me, I told them over and over NOT to send the prescription to my carrier until I see if it will work for me with their sample and they acknowledged it, but sent it anyway costing me another $80 co-pay on a prescription that didn't work for me. I finally had enough and requested to speak with Dr. Foote again and they guided me to speak with their new office manager Miriam. So I informed Miriam about all these issues and now feel I've been put on a watch list because when I paid my co-pay, the lady at this counter stated, "Oh, before I forget, here's your refraction test prescription receipt so you don't cry I didn't give it to you!" Now I see that the office manager Miriam made no effort to correct these issues or obviously can't control her staff. She minimized all my concerns and gave me her GOOD advice, "If you're not happy with our services here, go somewhere else!" So again I requested to have Dr. Foote call me to notify him of their horrible services and of course I'm still and will always be waiting for his call that will never come again.
