My daughter took guitar lessons here as part of a homeschool group class. She actually enjoyed classes here and was looking forward to returning "after the summer break". Either as part of a group or as a private student. No discounts were needed, really. It says much about a business owner when he can't bother to return calls or messages from a customer. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Not a business I would waste my money on.

They don't open when they say they will be open. If you post that you will be open at noon, then you should open at noon!! This has happened more than once. We get there after noon, like 12:25 pm, and NO ONE is there. Bad business.

I went into Strings and Things to have my son's violin repaired. It had been left in the car and all of the glue melted. I stated that I knew nothing about violins and asked point blank if it was fixable or if I should just buy a new one. I was told they could fix it no problem. I called to make sure it would be ready when I was told. That's when I was informed that it needed an additional repair. I was surprised that I hadn't received a phone call about it. I guess they have no problem with their customers showing up and the product not being ready. I let it go, approved the extra repair and showed upon time. When I showed up, they told me the violin needed two more repairs and would never be the same. The guy told me "I wish that your son would be able to play comfortably, but he won't with this." In the same conversation he told me he could sell it in his store for $150. So, they sell instruments that aren't good quality????? The guy was not very friendly and was not helpful even when I explained that I came to him as the instrument expert and he should be helpful, not frustrate me. He was offensive and didn't seem to care if I was happy with the repair or not. Bottom line is I don't care if I have to order orchestra supplies from France, I will NEVER step foot in this shop again.

I live in Northeast El Paso and drove all over town looking for a clarinet for my daughter none of the places I went to had one to rent. I reached the store around 7pm when they were closing but the employee said it was fine to come on in. I was very surprised most places would turn you away at the door if they're closing. The service was good and they were very helpful.
