Stanton House is a sleek, modern hotel located in the heart of downtown El Paso, with the arts district, museums, theaters, stadium, and restaurants all in easy walking distance. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the "art view" window in certain rooms is particularly fun. The hotel itself offers friendly, professional service throughout, including at the front desk and in the Taft-Diaz restaurant just off the lobby (oh, that espresso and delicious avocado toast).

The room was clean and the hotel was chic and modern. The front desk associates and valet were unprofessional. My boyfriend and I checked in at about 1am and were the only people in the lobby, so I don't know why the female receptionist was acting annoyed and rude- you're not even busy. Then, we saw our car being driven into the back lot about 10 minutes later and the valet driver took TENS of photos with the car, leaving it running with the door open for several minutes while he propped his phone up and posed with it. He only stopped taking pictures and posing with our car when he noticed us looking at him from our room. This was extremely unprofessional and made us wonder if he drove the car further than to the lot. The front desk associates in the morning said "I'm not sure if he took it for a joy ride". Absolutely wild that they can't say for certain... Will never be returning.

I first found out about the Stanton House while on a hotel tour sponsored by Downtown El Paso. This was the most unique hotel on the tour and truly a boutique hotel. We toured the rooms and the spa, sampled some food, and heard all about their amenities. I could tell my significant other really enjoyed the setting so I booked a staycation for his birthday. As far as common areas, the Stanton House is amazing! We went on a Saturday when they were also hosting a pop up market. We were able to grab some cool items from local creators and grab a latte from Grilla, a pop up coffee bar. That part was amazing! We also had drinks at the bar that evening and had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Also amazing!I had just a couple issues with my stay.1. I booked a light well over a suite because they suggest that you'll be able to see the Shylights from the rooms (says "overlooks lightwell light art installation"), a beautiful art exhibit in the center of the hotel. We couldn't see them at all. We were a couple floors above the top of them. A little frustrating, but it's a small hotel so I get that not every room will have the perfect view. 2. For some reason, there was no hot water the night we stayed there. I had the shower on for several minutes and it never got above a cold temperature. It was late so I didn't want to have to call the front desk and decided we'd call in the morning. For some reason, it did work that morning. 3. The internet wasn't working and therefore the smart tv wasn't working. We called the front desk to let them know and they sent someone up, but they weren't able to do anything about it and said they'd send someone else. We went to dinner and such. By the time we came back, still nothing had been resolved. They didn't communicate anything with us. We weren't upset that the tv wasn't working, but weren't happy that there was no further communication.4. Before check in, I asked if they could call us when the room was ready. They said they would have it ready in 30 minutes and would call me. I said thank you and to not rush since it was 1pm, but I guess they took that as just not calling me once it was ready. That being said, it is a really beautiful and unique hotel. I would still recommend it to someone visiting because it is such a unique hotel and would highly recommend Taft Diaz.

My good friend and I decided to meet up in El Paso, since we hadn't seen each other in over 2 years. I chose the hotel, because I had read great reviews and was impressed by their Covid protocols and how their staff was fully vaccinated! It had absolutely Lovely amenities like bathrobes, steamer, impressive minibar, and a beautiful wardrobe. Each room, hallway, and common area had neat artwork and some was even local! The design was modern and upscale with marble showers, Art Deco pieces In the lobby, and beautifully mobile lights in their restaurant. Oh, and the best part was the location-downtown and close to everything (with a security guard, Victor, who greeted us and helped us find places to patronize)! So, why the 3 stars? Sigh. I wanted this to be a 5 star review, really I did. I was so excited. So, here's a breakdown of what didn't work out for me. 1) The room I booked wasn't available at checkin, so I agreed to upgrade to a higher floor at the suggestion of the front desk staff member even though I mentioned the floor on which my friend was staying2) Poor sound insulation - heard a loud party and doors slamming until 3am3) My reservation included breakfast but I was charged for my cafe purchases both times 4) The pillows were so uncomfortable and I woke up with a sore neck each morning 5) When I checked out, I was informed that the staff knew about a bachelorette party on the floor (where my room was) but assumed I was part of this party. I'm not sure what caused such assumptions when I shared I was visiting with my friend. I had really high hopes for a Design Hotel in Texas, but I'm on the fence about staying here next time I'm in El Paso.

Regrettably, what marred this entire experience was the late-night woman working the front desk on 1/4/24 at 11:50 pm. Upon entering the front entrance, we noticed all the lights were off, and she was in the dark at the front desk, barely greeting us. We needed water in the room, and when I asked her for some extra bottles, she checked and responded with, "We don't have any more." It's perplexing for a luxury hotel not to provide water for its guests. Then, she became rude and suggested we drink from the fountain. I don't even give tap water to my dogs. What kind of luxury establishment is this if it can't offer guests the simplest amenity of bottled water? I've stayed at luxury hotels worldwide, and this does not align with luxury service standards.

An absolutely beautiful and stunning hotel in the heart of El Paso, Texas. I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed two complimentary breakfasts at the TAFT DIAZ restaurant near the lobby. The hotel is very quiet and there is stunning art at just about every corner. There is a little gym equipped with some solid equipment, including a peloton. There is a spa across the gym as well but I did not use it. The hotel room was very roomy. I stayed in a light well queen. The room was very clean and it was equipped with MALIN+GOETZ shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap and lotion. You will not be disappointed in your stay at the Stanton. Also, I want to add that the avocado toast is the best i have ever had! Enjoy your stay!

Sigh , I'm just going to say .. needs a little bit of work .. First thing , the rooms itself are nice. It's the lack of communication and actually not looking for correct information on their end I paid for breakfast for 2 people .. when we arrived we received (1) voucher and then a $16 credit. Keep in mind , you may only use this to walk downstairs not bring it back up and not to be ordered in for room service. Same applies for the $16 credit. Nothing they have that's charged in room you cannot use that $16 credit for. Weird ? But whatever didn't really care What I did care about was the calling up to front desk and asking for my (2nd ) meal voucher and was told I can only get one. I did my due diligence myself and provided receipts that clearly state I paid for 2. The lady said " I'll just notate it and give it to you for free ". Excuse me ? Free lol it's PAID . Also , there was a bright bleached red stain celery pink now that was flipped over on the actual bedding itself. Don't flip it , just replace it. You can tell the sheets were used down to the last wear and tear as there was a big hole in the blanket itself. As mentioned earlier , the room itself is nice. Just needs a little bit more tweaking. Reason for the 2 stars .. you don't get what you pay for when you see the hotel cutting corners. I've been to plenty of 4/5 stars hotels and I'll just say .. I didn't have thing to complain for. By the way , waking up at 6a to call for my second meal voucher was not it for me hahaha Update * added pics of my " pastries " that were burnt lol and not to add they had no vanilla for the latte and no orange juice . Sure I got charged for both

My coworkers and I stopped in for dinner and drinks. We parked our car at 6pm with the valet. As we finished up and we're going to leave, the valet couldn't find our car. We were told different stories, the car is at another lot, they are looking for it, etc. they finally told us that they parked the car directly behind the hotel in their lot. They looked at video, someone was in the lot and broke in/hot wired the car. The hotel told us they are not responsible in any way. The valet company said that this is the first time it ever happened. This seems like an inside job from the valet to the thief. Do not stay here.

Clean but decent hotel. Close and walking distance to everything in Downtown. But for the price, not really worth it. Our view was a rooftop to adjacent building. Worst part, at about 8am next morning, I have to assume an employee was checking unoccupied adjacent rooms, were in fact empty, and was letting the doors slam shut! Woke us up after hearing several doors slam shut! Plus I have some extra charges on my credit card I will be calling about!I called today to dispute extra charges and was told they found damage to bed sheets. After having hotel send me a picture of so called damages, it was a small mark of makeup on pillow case. What a joke, now we know why this hotel was empty. We will never stay here again.
