The food was very very good, even if my pizza was in fact burnt. Luckily I don't mind burnt! It was very tasty and the cheese was so good. The service was good also, we weren't check up on too much but the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The place was rather empty but I did go quite late so I wasn't surprised about it being empty. Definitely looking forward to going again soon!

They use sourdough for their crust. Got the cheesy bread. Had a bit of garlic taste to it. Went well with a cold beer. The Al pastor pizza is about 10" of Al Pastor goodness. They didn't skimp on the meat. Only wished they had avocado and radish on it.

Went to dinner with friends. One really likes craft pizza and trying artisanal pizzas. Had one with a habanero pasta sauce and can honestly say it's not for the faint of heart, my mouth was on fire!Another we had was with pear, Gorgonzola cheese, balsamic vinegar and was delectable. The last one was the margheritta pizza with cherry tomatoes, did not find and sun dried which I do like. The person who helped us was really helpful and attentive! They had great customer service as there were only two parties enjoying the restaurant. It's a dark place, guess you you call it somewhat romantic.Sadly, pizzas took a very long time to get to our table. Thinking the oven for baking needed to warm up. Also, when they were brought to the table, two were overdone and one was just right. The overdone ones were harder to chew on and eat, toppings were also very cooked.Really enjoyed the pear, Gorgonzola pizza which wasn't overcooked.I'd say it was an excellent choice and food was very good if had been a little less cooked.

First the atmosphere: it seems as though the air conditioner is broke, it was VERY hot inside - even more hot than outside because of the wood fire grill. It was very smokey inside as well, which made it hard to continue to have an appetite. The beer taps were broken when we went which was a shame, no ice for water, and a can of soda was three bucks. The food was okay, but definitely over priced. Everything sort of lacked flavor, and tasted just meh. My husband was not a fan, unfortunately, and that's rarely the case. It was very expensive for what you get. Our waiter was decent, but very quiet. He did open the door for us which was nice, to let the smoke out.

As I've mentioned in my other pizza reviews - I am 110% a pizza snob. With that said, I should clarify I am 110% NY Style Pizza snob. St. Augustine is not NY Style and they don't pretend to be. This place is special. They take ordinary and get creative with it. I have to respect it. As much as I hate pineapples and ham on my pizza - this place does something more. They add a little bit of magic to it. Is is the best pizza in the world? No, but the effort to be innovative is what makes this place stand out. Innovate pies with craft beer? I. Am. So. Sold.If you're in the area - for sure visit. If you're not - well then it's still worth the trip.

Pizza review timeSt. Augustine Artisan Pizza + Craft BeerFirst impression... $10 for a personal sized pizza? Ummm ok. Second impression, at least they followed the well done instructions. Third impression, tastes like pieology, but smaller and the same price... Audrina loved it, but if you want the professionals opinion, dough seems off. Almost seemed like a gluten free crust with the lack of separation in the doughs build. Sauce was good and cheese was alright. The boxing of a pizza sometimes deteriorated the quality of a pizza and I hope that was the case here.... Good under carriage though 6.6 that's a review.

Saturday night ordered 4 pizzas to go- 2 pepperoni pizzas and 2 specialty pizzas. My boys ate the specialty pizzas and said they were good. My wife and I ate the pepperoni pizzas and they were not so good. Not much cheese, not much sauce and very few pepperonis. They were very sad looking pizzas, however, the crust was good. If I order pizza again from St. Augustine, I will stick with the specialty pizzas.
