Speedy's Mexican Food

The food is good and the prices are reasonable. But the attention is just not there. They really don't come and check to see if we need anything. The friendliness is not there. The last we were there we had the menudo and it was to spicy to eat. I like spicy but it was too much.

True hole-in-the-wall, but a great place to eat for a little bit of money. Weekends you can get Menudo, or during the week get the Cheapskate for breakfast. Gorditas for lunch or you can't go wrong with their burgers, crisp bun, pure beef and melted cheese running everywhere. No matter what you get, the food is flavorful and you can get a full meal with a drink for under $10 per person. Less than you would spend at a fast food place and much higher quality. This is definitely a go to place any day of the week, but get there early because they close at 3 pm.

Yes, love it going back today !I had the huevos rancheros with chorizo and buttermilk pancake. The salsa on the eggs was the right amount of spicy

This place has amazing menudo but today I wanted to change it up and tried the flauta plate . Before we got our meal our server brought us a small bowl of caldo. We really are impressed with the type of service we received the lady was very attentive to anything we needed. Definitely love everything about this place!

Ok so the New Year started off with a 4 mile hike guided by a park ranger at Transmountain.. That was a nice tiring walk and by the time my brother, our friend and myself had completed the walk we were famished.. I suggested this restaurant because I had been here before. We get there and are promptly seated and it was about lunch time but it wasn't packed. So my brother tried to order some Caldo de Res but lo and behold they had sold out and considering it was a brisk chilly day I can see why. So my brother ordered the daily special which consisted of 3 tostadas and our friend opted for the tacos we deshebrada. I picked the enchiladota with desebrada(shredded beef) & our plates quickly arrived.. To say my entre was stuffed with beef would be an understatement as I was unable to finish my plate. My brother did polish it off and he stated the guacamole tostada was his favorite. All in all we had a great lunch too start off the New Year..

This was a great place to stop and have a quick breakfast. 2 eggs, sausage, refried beans, papas con chorizo with a tortilla for less than $7.00. Yes, it looks a little bit like a dive on the outside, but it is clean on the inside and the staff is very welcoming. Our server was particularly friendly and sweet. Didn't catch her name but was wearing a beautifully embroidered blouse from Guadalajara.Only one handicapped accessible parking space which was unfortunately being taken by this car with no placard. The gravel parking lot makes it difficult for those with mobility issues. But we managed. Glad we made the effort. My mother in law enjoyed her meal.

Stopped by this great little restaurant for lunch and don't regret it. The service was fast and attentive. They brought out a small caldo and rice before the meal that actually filled me up. Then I had Gorditas with more rice and beans. Couldn't finish my plate but definitely warmed it up for dinner. Gorditas here are my favorite. You get 3 with an order.

The food here is amazing. My boyfriend and I stopped by for breakfast and he believes the menudo here is among the best. We were recommended here by the owner which we met at the airport this past weekend. I would have given it a fifth star but the coffee was disappointing. It tasted like cheap instant coffee. I love coffee so that was a little disappointing, but other than I would definitely come back.

Customer service really needs work. We waited for an hour and didn't receive our food. Waitress didn't check on us or even update us on our order. We decided to just pay for our drinks and no longer wait. All was said to us was no worries we didn't have to pay for our drinks. Very disappointed, especially because we WERE regulars there.

Placed my order. Waited about 20 minutes. Then the waitress came over and said that they were super busy with takeout orders and she didn't know how long it would be until my food is ready. There is a whole new set of waitresses here and they are terrible. Won't be back.
