Sorpresa Bakery

The marranito looked like a big blob but it was still delicious. I came here on Jan 6, an hour before closing, as they were the only bakery that answered the phone or had any roscas left. As everyone know, that itself was a miracle for us procrastinators. I was a little doubtful when they told me the only roscas they had left were filled with cajeta and fresa. It ended up being a wonderful surprise, everyone loved it (even those that had never had a rosca before). I bought 12 tamales(havent tried them yet but they smell heavinly), one giant rosca, and one marranito for $40 total. I'll definitely be back.THANK YOU FOR HAVING ROSCAS AVAILABLE SO LAST SECOND!!!

I'm sorry but the ladies here are rude and dirty! The lady who was charging was also handling money and bagging the bread with no gloves with her bare dirty hands. Goes from sweet bread to gross! If your the owner and read this please have your register person use gloves. We live in a time where disease is no joke. Also a smile goes a long way. Just saying

Given the fact that one can purchase sweet bread literally anywhere in El Paso, Sorpresa is my go to spot. They always have a great amount of all the items they offer in stock, and everything always tastes freshly made. The prices area a bit higher than other bakeries, but the taste is worth it. They also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner all though I've never tried anything it looks great. Staff is always friendly, stop by for a treat!

We came to do laundry and this bakery is right next door, it was early and we wanted something quick I got the chile colorado burrito & my boo thang ;) got the chicharrón burrito. Mine was eeh it was soggy not spicy & lacked salt. (That's just me though) my babes burrito was good but had no spice! The sweet bread was very good though!

Best bread in town...Food below average! But the Sweet Bread is the Best Ever... Pineapple Empanadas, Esponhhitas, and nut bread our the yummiest! Must try

I bought a menudo an it was cold had to warm it up. The only thing good was the pan dulce A 2 out of 10

Today my friend gave me a piece of the Rosca from The Sorpresa Bakery that's on N Carolina and I loved it. It's the first Rosca I've had with cajeta in it and it's not dry. My sister bought one from Five Star Bakery that Rosca was dry plus it had no babies in it the ones that Bimbo sells, well those are super dry as well. From now on I'm buying the Rosca from Sorpresa. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this place! They have some amazing burritos! The sweet bread is so delicious too! Always fresh! The staff is always so nice!
