Simply Good Desserts

Nice coffee and dessert nosh place near the hospital. The pastries, cupcakes are all fresh and if you like ice cream they have over a dozen flavors. Plus coffee and other life giving beverages. Okay, they don't actually give life but they do immeasurably improve it. We've been here 4-5 times now. The owner is lovely, and the staff are very accommodating on specialty orders. Nice background music and a decent parking lot. What's not to like?

We went in and we waited and waited and waited some more. There was one customer in front of us. we waited and waited and waited some more. We felt invisible ! , no one so much as acknowledged our presence so we finally turned around and left. We never went back !

This is located next to the Filmore Eye Clinic across the street and diagonal from Gila Regional Hospital. The place is spotless, and the owner greets her customers with a friendly smile and conversation. A selection of cupcakes and brownies is in a case, but my husband asked for his red velvet to have a different flavor of icing, which she piped right there and then! They have at least 15 varieties of scoop ice cream that one can order in a cup (3 sizes) and a variety of cones--even gluten free sugar cones! The coffee menu is expansive, but I was after ice cream today--I'll go back for a coffee treat. And I'll definitely go back. The prices are a good value. I found out about this place on a Facebook post from a happy customer who'd done a special order for an event. Beautiful cupcakes. The owner says they'll do special order cakes, too. Perhaps the best review was my husband finishing his cupcake before I'd put my credit card back in my wallet! "That was incredibly GOOD!" as he did lip reconnaissance for every last lick of whipped cream frosting. Now to resist the 4" x 4" brownie that we added to our splurge. They are open M-F, 7:30 am to 5:00pm as of this review. Ya gotta try 'em!
