Silver City Food Co-Op

A really well stocked organic store. Beautiful produce. Great offering of frozen and bulk items. Great vitamins and personal items. Wow, if I lived here, I'd be a regular. The prices seemed decent too!

Great health food store, wonderful, vibrant organic produce section, extremely helpful staff.

Really really good food. Expensive. But good. Tons of produce. And because I was going camping up and the Gila wilderness, little pre-made bougie items that were delicious. A tempeh salad. Etc. nice eggs dairy just everything you could want. They very conveniently gave me a box however, tsk tsk, they didn't offer to carry it out for me and I got to say I was really exhausted with all that travel. I would have said yes. But they didn't offer. jS

Exactly what you expect from a coop in a larger city. Tight aisles crammed with lots of choices, friendly employees, and good smells. We were camping and found we needed a few items. Then returned for a few more before we left.

Great little co-op staffed by the nicest people in a super sweet little town. If we lived in Silver City, we would shop there every week.

Some folks who work at the co-op are friendly and offer good service. However, I've had alarmingly rude experiences there as well. Further, I have twice contacted the store through their website contact form, I have never gotten a response. I won't patronize a store where my queries and input are not responded to. There are other sources of whole organic and local foods in the area that will be receiving my patronage.

Gluten free options, vegan options, small gift shop inside, inside seating, tasty bites, in-house made ice cream. Good vibes, lots of natural light

This is a wonderful little co-op. It's sort of like Dr Who's Tardis police box - it looks unbelievably tiny on the outside, then you go in and it's packed with more than seems like could fit. According to staff, they are working on moving to a larger location next year, so I'm sure they will expand and become even better. I hope they add a food bar... that's would be very useful!The produce prices seem to fluctuate a lot, and are sometimes on the spendier side (but not always), however I think that's normal for a small store. It's the only option for high quality organic food in many miles, so I think that warrants appreciating. They get some local produce in, and I tried the carrots from a local farm...wow. Those tasted like I pulled them myself. So good.They sell Alexandre organic A2/A2 milk... which is very hard to find elsewhere, and like most co-ops they have case discounts if you order ahead of time. Nice. Their tempeh reuben sandwich in the prepared food case is also very good. They seem to be getting more cheeses in lately and just had sheeps milk halloumi and a sheep feta, too. This store is a great resource!

Great place to stop by while in town. Especially for us vegans. They have really good local made protein bites as well as a good selection of other snacks.
