I was really surprised when I saw this place. Instead of heading to Wal-Mart we decided to pop in here first to see what they had to offer. Turns out, they had a lot to offer! This is a lot like a non-chain Bev-Mo. You've got microbrews, spirits, macrobrews, and all types of nuts, cheeses, etc. Whatever you would get from a liquor store, they'll have it here. I was especially impressed with the beer selection. In a small town it is sometimes hard to get anything beyond Bud, Coors, etc. This place was a beer oasis for me.

Wow! We found a diamond in the rough hidden in plain site on a hilltop in Silver City. Those familiar with the Spec's chain in the Houston area would feel right at home here at SCBC -- beer galore, specialty foods, a surprising wine selection ....And we even found the Green Chile Wine we desperately wanted to try! (While it's not for everyone, if you're a Hatch Green Chile addict, I recommend it.) When you're in Silver City and want an adult treat, Silver City Beverage Co. is the first place you should try.

I am a beer nut and I go on missions to find gems. Seeing the two great reviews on Yelp, I thought I'd find a gold mine here in this small New Mexico town. Ehh, not quite. Really, this is just another liquor store to me. There is nothing distinguishing about the establishment, nor is the selection of wines, beers and liquors anything to cross four lanes of traffic for. I tried picking up a bottle of whisky here and found myself very limited by the selection. As for the beer, well there were enough craft beer options to not make me write the place off, but not enough to give me the impression that Silv City Bev caters to us beer geeks. Plus they were prominently displaying the Tecate attempt at craft beer Day of the Dead beers and attempted to push these on me when I asked about beer. That's a big no-no to me. If you're in Silver City and want a good beer selection, my recommendation is that you go down to the Kurious Kumquat; the selection there trumps that of liquor stores in much bigger cities.

Super rude ... Stay away !!Not a very good selection ... Walked around for 10 minutes ... Workers talking across store and to other workers that popped their heads in (and were friendly to them but not customers) but although my husband and I continued to walk every aisle several times they Never even said hello , never asked if we needed any help and the one customer that actually bought something was treated very poorly and snapped at!! Really surprised he continued with the purchase!!We were looking for high end Tequila and wine but will never go back !!Very sad that employees could make a place a big fat no!

I've been to Silver City Beverage Co several times and each time the staff was friendly and welcoming. Although they don't carry my favorite, they have a large selection of wine. Their variety includes locally made wine. Their beer selection is pretty good sized and they carry a lot of micro-brews and popular name brands. Their prices are decent and comparable to wal-mart and any other stores like it in the area. If you are local and drink wine regularly they have a wine club that will get you free wine eventually!
