Beef ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage. Again, best bbq ever!!
A rack of beef ribs. By far the best damn ribs I've had!! You don't even need the bbq sauce, that's how good they are.

Nice Chill spot. Met some friends there one afternoon and we tried the brisket nachos, they were really good. The beer was nice and cold as well. We will definitely be back.

If you would like to be starred at and looked at with disgust go ahead and eat here they clearly haven't changed there views! Sad especially when a place is so close to the border! Don't bother unless you'd like to stumble into a meeting!

If you come here, I suggest the green chile burger. It was phenomenal, all the flavors blend well with the burger. It was so good, I had to ask for another to take home. The service was very attentive and the ambience is very laid back.

I made the mistake of driving all the way out to Shooters twice. The first time it was packed there was some sort of biker rally and figured it wouldn't be comfortable so I left. Second time I went some of the employees were all sitting around a table chit chatting prime time on a Saturday. I ordered beef ribs and the lady said they ran out. So I ordered pork ribs she said none either. Then let it slip that they didn't make them yesterday either. No apologies. No explanations. I just left. Not sure how they expect to gain customers? I guess they dont care.

After reading the previous positive reviews, and because this place is so close to home, I took the 10 minute drive to take it back home and try it out. I wasn't impressed with the food whatsoever. I wanted to try the brisket and beef ribs and the brisket was sold out. I wouldn't know if it was because it's just that good or because they don't prepare enough, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. So instead, I ordered extra beef ribs. These ribs were mostly fatty and greasy, with just a little bit of meat. I've had better at other places in El Paso and would rather drive 30 minutes longer to get BBQ I know will be filling. I could go on about how unhappy I was, but what for. I hate leaving poor reviews and really look for the positive in places. So I guess it's a good place to have some beers, and the lady at the counter was nice. But unfortunately for me, it's the first and last time I'll be eating here.

This location is half a mile away from my family's place in Texas so I walked over to check it out Friday night around 7pm. As I came close to it, I could hear live music from the spot. They had a trailer to smoke their BBQ and a brick and mortar to cook everything else with the addition to plenty of seating and a stage for music performers. I can't say much about the food because all I ordered was a couple of baskets of their plain French fries which were good for what they are and a Dos XX. The servers were pretty friendly and there were people dancing to the music which livened up the atmosphere.

We picked Shooters over a steakhouse for our 4th of July meal. It was no contest after seeing the photos of the food on yelp. So we made the 50 mile round trip, thoroughly enjoying the leisure and peace of the lovely lower valley. We were a bit surprised the place was empty but remembered passing two large parks with outdoor festivals. Shooters is way off the beaten path, in an old ramshackle (looking) building with a walk up order window and patio seating. We were told that indoor seating is available on weekends. My guess is this place is booming on weekend nights. We found the whole environment very charming. Mistiers kept the summer heat at bay and good honky tonk music circled overhead. I really like this place. The brisket and sausage were excellent and the beer was cold. So why only four stars? As I said earlier we chose shooters based on photos of the food. In particular were the ginormous beef ribs. I was salivating like a starving Rottweiler the whole drive only to learn that ribs are only offered on weekends. This could have been a deal killer were it not for the other BarBQ items. We didn't try the pulled pork but I have to believe it's as good as everything else. Service was great throughout our visit. I do have a couple of suggestions. Firstly, since sandwich items are the main dishes on weekdays, provide fresher hamburger buns and offer mayo and mustard in addition to the very good barbecue sauce. Since the brisket slices are big, provide knives to cut them into bitesize pieces. Next trip will be for ribs and the pursuit of the fifth star.
