Sher-Wood Cabinetry

After 5 years, the custom cabinets Sherwood installed have started to show some significant wear. I have repeatedly tried to work with them, but they simply won't respond. The company was recently sold to a publicly held company and no management is available in Las Cruces to discuss the issue. Simply stated, if they can't make a sale, they're not interested in you. A lot of turn over has occurred, with their most experienced installer and designer gone.

I love my cabinets. They look so nice in my home. I am very happy with them. The representative I worked with was Brenda. Brenda found my cabinets I was looking and hoping for, she met with me at my home, she made the right measurements, was very punctual with appointments, communicated extremely well and provided me with some upgrade options that worked out really good. Her estimates on delivery and installation were spot on; so, I could work around on other aspects of the home. The installers are very good and they know what they are doing. You can count on Sher-Wood Cabinetry. I would use them again anytime and do recommend them.

We had our house custom built and had Sherwood do our cabinets for the whole house. We are disappointed in the work that was done. We decided to spend almost double what we had budgeted for the cabinets because we felt that's a very important part of the home. Well, we definitely didn't get what we had hoped.The salesman we worked with never showed interest in making sure the job was done correctly. It's very disappointing to see how much money we paid and it just doesn't look or feel the quality that we thought we were paying for.

It's been almost a year since I had my cabinets installed. They were Legacy cabinets, shaker style and espresso color. I upgraded to dove tail drawers, plywood box, and soft close. The Initial install there were several issues. Finish inconsistent, coloring was much lighter on some doors, warped doors, soft close wasn't working, filthy dirty, and rough finish in spots. The laundry cabinet was measured wrong so they had to reorder that, shelves were missing, divider missing, and a pullout shelf was missing, all noted on the installers printout he had. There was also stain missing around edges. They replaced the doors and I had the same thing. Now a second time they recommended replacing all the doors and drawer fronts. They did that and the same thing.They have come out numerous times, I have documented with pictures and videos every time they have replaced them. I am very frustrated at this point, I asked them to let me pick out something else since Legacy apparently is not just poor quality control but the workmanship is by far from professional. They wouldn't allow me to pick out a different line, they said they can make it right by sending the doors and drawers to a Albuquerque shop and have them re-stained there and then came into my home that has brand new everything, sanded and re-stained against my better judgment. They left me with no other options and me wanting this resolved with the promise this would work. Now, I have cabinets that have been ruined by this process. Very rough, runs in finish, darker than they should have been in the first place, very same issues only worse. They messed up the drawers and I have extra holes where the knobs go, they scratched my microwave and dented my brand new range hood not to mention they ruined the finish by scrubbing off all the over spray. I had over spray on my new blinds, my brand new dishwasher, my walls,inside my cabinets, on some of my dishes, small appliances in the cabinet, my baseboards and I had to have my house cleaned from all the dark dust from sanding. I have damage to my wall in my laundry room from them moving up the cabinets that were measured wrong. I have asked them to give me my money back and come and get their cabinets, they refuse, they want to keep doing the same process, which I am not going to do for a 4th time. I need to move on and get cabinets that don't have all these issues. They have left me no option and they really don't care about resolving the issues, doing the same thing over and over with the same result isn't resolving anything, it's done nothing but inconvenience me, the customer. What I have learned is I am not the only customer with these issues. Sherwood and everyone at Sherwood knew how terrible these cabinets and their quality is yet they continued to sell them. I expected my cabinets to match, have a smooth uniform finish I don't think that's too much to ask. Now I have to spend even more money and go the legal route to get this resolved.

Stop!!! be careful spending your money at this business - built a new home and cabinets were unbelievably cheaply built construction and of low grade quality and expensive. Damaged cabinets installed. All left over misc. install items like scrap trim wood and sawdust never cleaned up - just thrown down on the floor. Sloppy work. Office phone calls have never been returned, emails never been returned. This place is get a super huge thumbs down. Don't hire them !

We bought SOLLiD brand cabinets and granite countertops from Sherwood. The whole experience was excellent! The cabinets are amazing quality and the installers that came out were even better. Very professional and detail oriented. Granite templates and install also went well. Everyone from the receptionist, sales staff and installers were a joy to work with. I love my new kitchen!
