Why are they never open on time? This is the 3rd time I've come here and they're not here yet. It is 10 after 10 on Saturday and only the got who takes out their trash is around. This is ridiculous.

I took my Brother CS-6000i in because the bobbin case was causing issues as well as my needle kept hitting and breaking. I called before I went and was told that a general cleaning started as low as $24.99 and went as high as $89.99, but averaged about $69.99. I took it in without doing much research into other repair locations because it was the closest to my house and I was part way through sewing a quilt. On arrival, about 25 mins after calling, there was a Masks Required sign on the door, which I was wearing one. I went in and the bells on the door rang. I stood at the counter in an empty showroom for almost 5 minutes, finally calling out, "Hello?". No one came. My machine was heavy by then, so I shifted around to the side of the counter and when I placed my machine up, I must have made enough noise that I was noticed from the back room. There were several masks scattered around the employee side of the counter, but the staff member never put one on, and another employee entered behind me and they did not put one on either, though they stood at the counter and talked to the first person. The staff member glanced over my machine, turned the knob and noticed the needle was hitting, wrote my information down. Questioned the zip code I gave him, even though I've lived at this address for over 3 years, then wrote down that it would be $69.99....with almost zero time spent looking at the machine. BTW, they have signs all over their location advertising that they are Singer and Baby Lock dealers....I should have left at that point.....or the gentleman should have told me when I called that he doesn't specialize in Brother machines.I returned 4 days later after receiving an abrupt phone call telling me it was ready. When I went in, a different staff member, still unmasked, was on her cell phone. She proceeded to "help" me while dealing with customer service about her personal business. On the notes section of the sheet, it says that my needle plate is worn, but it's not worth replacing at $69.95, so I should just buy a new Baby Lock Joy machine for $250.00. I LOVE my Brother machine, but I sat down at the Baby Lock and wasn't impressed with the plastic, cheap machine that was there. If I'm going to upgrade my machine, it should be an upgrade, not a cheaper machine!I got home after a bill of $122.11, $69.99 for the "tune up", $2.98 for a needle, thread an bobbin....which I had brought a bobbin loaded in my machine and received a different bobbin back, and $39.99 for "labor".Immediately at hmy machine acted as it did prior to my dropping it off. The bobbin case was jamming and cutting the top thread while still in the process of loading it and the needle was still hitting the needle plate...which hadn't been replaced.I called the company and because I was working on my machine I put the phone on speaker. My husband and I were shocked at the rude tone the staff member used when I said that my machine was still not working. She told me to "bring it back in if it doesn't work", then hung up on me.My husband decided to take a look at it and inside there were several screws and bolts that were not tightened, and the belt was partially off (which shouldn't have been maneuvered in the first place.Needless to say, my husband solved the machine's issues and I wish I had saved the money in the first place.Edit to add: The owner called the following Tuesday to explain that an error had been made and the receipt had been misinterpreted by a new employee. He had not meant to charge me the $69.99, but had been out of the store when I arrived, and if I brought my machine back in, he was willing to refund the money. I appreciate that he took the time to call and fix the problem.

I had no idea sewing machines were in such short supply! Amid the Covid-19 pandemic I decided to make cushion covers for my patio furniture. Sewing Center of El Paso came to my rescue! I purchased a Babylock Vibrant and a Babylock Joy. They gave me lessons on the serger prior to purchasing and follow up calls!! Who does this? Good people!! The great folks here also offer lessons as well as help with your projects. Luckily for me this is close to my neighborhood and plenty of parking. I'm going to be a lifelong customer and friend.

I have a singer machine and I took it in for a repair. They told me it would cost 59$ to replace the bobbin plastic that broke. They charged me a extra fee for that which came out over 90$ I think they over charge for repairs don't go to this place!

This was a very disappointing experience, and I will never return to Sewing Center of El Paso. I checked the time online, and the site showed the store opened at 9:00 am on Saturday. Evidently, this was an old site. Because when I arrived at 9:25 am, it was closed. I tried calling the contact number repeatedly to inquire what time the store opened, but no one answered, and worse, there was no recording to inform customers of their hours. This is Basic Business 101! Also, there were no hours posted anywhere on their door to inform customers when they open and close. I assumed that if the store did not open at 9 am, it must open at 10 am on Saturday morning. Wrong! I wanted to purchase a $3,000 machine and was recommended by someone from my quilting group. What I did was drive to Las Cruces where I received excellent customer service, knew exactly what the hours were for their store, and happily purchased my machine. I will never visit EPSC again, now will I ever recommend it to anyone.

I sent my sewing machine here for repair back on 9/24. It took over a month to get an answer back on 11/03 ... they could not fix it. I literally called every week, spoke with Rachel who always said she'll call me back. No call back. When I call again she said oh he's working on the machine now... I will call back with an update. NO CALL BACK! So got Singer customer service a call to get an update on my machine. They are finally sending it to another place. I'm so upset with the El Paso store!! It took weeks to say, we can't fix it... that's ridiculous!!! I've been with out my machine for 46 days... now it's going to Kansas. Hopefully it's gets worked on properly!

I took my Bernina sewing machine here as it was stuck in reverse. This problem was corrected at a charge of over $90.00. The machine did not sew smoothly at home so I returned it to the shop within the 30 day warranty period. I was wrongly charged an additional $32.00 and receipt stated "customer error. Used bad thread." I have ALWAYS used Gutterman or Coats and Clark thread which are approved by Bernina. I do not even own any other threads. I told them I wanted a refund for the $32.00 as I had NOT used bad thread. I was promised a call from the repair technician. Never happened. I feel the repair was bad, and the technician made up this false excuse for a faulty repair. The repairs were unsatisfactory, technician deceitful, and lack of follow through in customer service. Take you machine else where. M Mcafee

I've been frequenzing the sewing center for the past two months and found, that they're very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I've bought two machines there and can come by or call at all times if I have a question. Very happy with the overall experience!
