Open buffet style home made food. What I mean by "open buffet style" is that yes it has the perks of eating as many times as you want. However, you are served plates of food versus you serving yourself. It is a big open space with plenty of indoor seating for 75 people max. I want to say. Place is clean. Staff is super nice. Parking is small/medium size & there is someone taking care of your car. Restaurant is in the back. They originally were in the front but they have relocated to the back even though the front area still has the old entrance.

My sister took us to eat here and I was very surprised that the food was really good!! It is a hidden little gem! We went for a late breakfast early lunch so some had breakfast others had lunch and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food. I had the Gorditas lunch special, 2 Gorditas, rice & beans. Delicious!! My husband had the Desebrada burrito and it was a good size burrito with lots of flavor. My daughter had the Chile relleno burrito and wow! That was one great tasting burrito that she ordered another one. The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are good! I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to support a mom & pop restaurant! No matter where you're driving from, it will be worth the drive! Sorry, food looked so good and tasty that we forgot to take pictures!!

A Lyft driver told me to try this place and it is really, really solid. I came right prior to lunch and had their lunch AYCE buffet. It's a small buffet but almost everything on it is really good. Their chicharrone guisados was amazing! I think the best I have ever had. I was so amazed at how much flavor it's got. Honestly, all their stew-like food is really good. The shell-based food (tacos etc.) are just ok. Though their chips and salsa (free!) are really solid. Self-serve on the salsa! So there are a billion Mexican places to eat in El Paso but I've no doubt I've gone to one of the best Mom & Pop's.

Was driving down alameda and saw a guy wearing a sandwich advertisement board. Probably have driven past this place a hundred times and didn't take a second glance. But the ad caught my eye. 2.99 lunch special. I love these places. Hidden gems of El Paso. Ended up going w the 6.99 buffet just to try everything. The place was entirely packed, not sure if it was the ad or if it's normally like this. Very simple but very tasty buffet. About 10 main items to choose from. Absolutely love the fried fish. Tilapia. But the batter was excellent. Everything's a bit over salted so can't eat too much, but it's delicious. Glad I tried the b if get. Glad I stopped by. May just get a plate next time bc it's enough food by itself. A nice alternative if you find yourself central and can't wait for the line at L&Js. No ac but the fans keep it fairly cool. Chips were fried from old tortillas and are a little stale.

Sr. Benjos get your waitresses off their power trip. maybe some customer service 101. There's no reason for treating elderly wrong, specially if your getting paid to serve....Sr.Benjos old school restaurant from downtown Alameda has the worst waitress, their attitude just kills the eating out with the family vibes. A lady who waited for more than 15min and you could tell her legs were giving up sat down and one of the waitresses came to her with an attitude and went at her. It's just not right do better for your customers.

My first meal at Senor Benjo's was in early 2019. No recommendations, just an employee waving a banner encouraging customers to come on in. I wouldn't disagree with the term "hole in the wall" but these folks know how to cook great food at reasonable prices! They recently moved one building over ((way bigger), they have dedicated parking with a full time attendant. The decor might not be high dollar but very comfortable, relaxed ambience. If you only like to go to high end "FuFu" restaurants, press on, just don't be a hater. Very courteous staff. Try their lunch buffet, super good deal.

My wife and I have been eating at Benjo's for over 10+ years and it never disappoints. Whenever we visit El Paso from South Carolina it's on our to-do list. Excellent taste, prices, and customer service. Authentic, home-cooked, family-run business. No wonder this was Guero's favorite restaurant. R.I.P. Casimiro.

I first learned about Senor Benjo's when I was visiting my late grandmother in El Paso from my uncle and so based on my uncle's recommendation my family decided to check it out and to our surprise I discovered a hidden gem in El Paso that is amazing and everything about Senor Benjo's is so cool and the food scores a perfect 10 and my family adored Senor Benjo's food so much we decided to try it twice and when my uncle ordered our food the staff knew exactly what we liked and the way Senor Benjo's designed my bean burrito was so cool and really tasty. I'm glad that my uncle introduced me and my family to Senor Benjo's because if you're in El Paso looking for a great restaurant don't be afraid to give Senor Benjo's a try because their food is awesome
