Just one of many dirty shirt with a $25 price tag. Absurd.

Worst selection of dirty and broken junk, yet most expensive junk shop in town, BY FAR. I mean, double, triple, even quadruple the price of other comparable Las Cruces stores. Filthy tee shirt with holes? $25. They have my dish set from a large store for FAR more than I paid for it brand new FIVE YEARS AGO. Lots of that kind of nonsense in this disgusting store. This place sucks, scamming low income people and the elderly SUCKS, and I will be letting everyone know these scammers should be avoided at all costs. Im also reporting them, as it's clear there's some very shady business going on at this store. They've violated their own mission statement by price gouging, and they should be absolutely slammed for it.

A thrift store with a valuable mission -- to help our furry friends who can't help themselves. I love this thrift store, also, because they have so many great buys. Their stock of eclectic items never disappoints. And when you donate, a smiling face is there to thank you. Please consider Safe Haven Thrift Store if you are looking for something in particular, or just looking.

i think it's sad when folks put down a thrift store which is run on volunteer staff and whose income goes to save homeless pets or the needy. i love safe haven thrift store. they run great sales each week, have a wide assortment of donated merchandise which is separated by displayed areas in the good size store and a friendly staff. the christmas sales were so hot the customer line outside started 1 hour before opening. i got a large handmadewool rug at a great price and i try to visit them every week. not to be missed!

This is a great Thrift Store. I love the staff and the prices are really good. I buy lots of pictures and home goods there at really great prices. It is really hard for them right now because of the Covid restrictions. I hope they are able to make enough money to support their worthy cause of finding new homes for animals

I've lived in Las Cruces for the majority of my life, and have been thrift storing since my mother took me along as a wee tot. It's truly something I enjoy and look forward to, and get some peace of mind out of recycling items.Although I support the efforts of Shas and it's fight to help save dogs and cats, I will no longer be frequenting it's thrift store. The attitudes of the staff have been anything but warm and welcoming, even despite the holidays. I am truly flabbergasted, and disgusted at the behavior towards their customers that I've now witnessed and encountered first hand three times. You would think volunteering would create a safe and loving enviornment, In the spirit of giving but my three experiences at this shop in the past week alone have shocked me to my core. I have overheard the manager talking to staff about how difficult customers are and that "deepbreaths" are constantly needed. I have had merchandise taken from me while still perusing it and then met with the managers nasty attitude and bulging eyes and a sigh when I explained to please leave the merchandise, as I was still looking. I have tried to speak with other staff about the atrocious behavior towards customers but was met with empty apologies and passive aggressive smiles. These three experiences have expressed a concern within me; I don't think many of the women volunteering and working at Shas care much for customer service or satisfying the customer. When I spoke about these difficult encounters with family and friends I was met with similar experiences that saddened me deeply. Please clean up your act Shas.

I made a quick stop at this thrift store on a Western vacation and immediately noticed the "issue" with the store is their pricing. When a pair of current, stylish jeans is the exact same price as some Jaclyn Smith polyester slacks, thrift stores lose credibility and people stop shopping there over time. I see they have a charitable mission and I would love to have supported it more than I was able to do with my small purchase of candy cane leggings. To be honest, if pricing was done piece by piece, I would have spent much more. The counter staff was friendly enough. Lots of junk here that needs to go into the trash, though.

When I lived in Las Cruces from 2012 to 2013, this was my favorite thrift store to frequent. Everyone there was super nice and I found quite a few cool items including a record player I still use today. I loved the mission of this organization and wish there was something like this in Ohio. I wish them the best of luck with their operation and wish I could visit them again. Maybe one day.

I started shopping here a few years ago when my sister moved to town and we were trying to furnish her family's new home. At that time, they were operating as a genuine thrift store - great merchandise at fair prices. Since then, they seem to fancy themselves a boutique or antique store. Anything that seems older than 10 years is treated as an invaluable relic with an astronomical price tag to match. The prices at curated vintage stores are better. We've had a couple questionable experiences here including being refused merchandise that was "display only" (why would anything at a thrift store, let alone reader's digest ant, be unavailable for purchase?). There was another time when we apparently seemed so suspicious that a less-than-pleasant manager was called over to review the price on an item that was clearly labeled with no fewer than six price tags. It's disappointing when a seemingly worthwhile charitable organization loses sight of its mission

the staff really does the least when it comes to pleasing its customers, even ones who are regulars/ have donated 100s of dollars to the cause. especially the lady with the silly asymmetrical pink bob. she's especially rude to pretty much everyone it seems. when the issue was brought to their attention, they told me to write a fucking letter. wtf does that do for me?? A one star yelp review will be more detrimental to their business than just treating customers with respect and resolving the issue. This is a customer service issue, and no one should be left in tears by employees when they're trying to donate to a charity.
