Ok! Tried the menudo last week and there was no flavor. It was spicy but thats it. Way too much hominy barely any meat. Thought I'd give them one more shot and got tamales. Not no, but never again. Dry, not enough meat & a strange tasting spice in them. One was discolored & tasted old. The green ones were spicy ( like the menudo) and had no flavor. Sorry but it's back to the drawing board. The people are nice but the food is not good.

The tamales are always delicious. I visit my family often during the holidays and we always makes sure to stop by Sabroso. My favorite are the green chile and cheese, but they are all delicious!

While on a vacation to visit my Mom, my oldest daughter wanted to bring back some real deal tamales with us. After a few tries coming here too late and finding them closed, I gotta say without a doubt, these tamales are really really good! We got the pork and chicken versions. I should of bought a dozen sweet to let the kids see what Christmas tamales are like, but no doubt, these are legit good.I added pics to show the variety of things they sell. I was really thinking only gorditas and tamales but there is alot more. Unfortunately I only got one thing :-(Like most places in El Paso, it seems only Spanish is the main language , but not true. The lady working the register only answers in Spanish but understands English. So no worries if that kinda thing is intimidating.I understand there is more tamales only places nearby but I couldn't seem to locate them. So if you come down to the line and need them before you go home, swing by here during morning to early afternoon hours and you wont be disappointed!!!!

This is truly one small unique restaurant. Offering a simple but delicious menu of Mexican food, you're definitely going to want to pick more than one item. I came to this place hearing that their tamales where to die for. Well the customer service was ok and not perfect, but definitely welcoming. I decided to order the tamales and take a gordita plate to go. My total was little less than $13. The result was like I expected. Delicious and savory food that I will definitely be back to enjoy. Good job!

That place was dirty and lots of flies... we told the waitress and she blamed it on the customers. That when they came in the flies come in. So if you now it's happening why don't you do something to fix the problem...

We bought tamales from here again, we have for years and they are always good. We love the red pork of course, and we got some of the green with cheese and they were spicy but full of cheese! Love them everytime we buy tamales there!

The tamales were very big and heavy with very little meat. The masa (dough) lacked flavor and was very oily. An unusual amount of melted lard was oozing from the dough (masa). I paid $17.99 for a dozen tamales that were mostly tasteless masa. I will NEVER go to this establishment again.

I went to this place expecting great tamales. But all I received were multiple RAW tamales. These were being fed to my family and children. I felt so guilty, for putting my family at risk from getting sick from eating these raw tamales. This franchise has no respect for their customers for not checking their products being safe to be consumed before sending them out. Unless they knew but know that no conveniences come from it and just care for money. It's DISGUSTING and the AUDACITY to sell this and STILL charge a "transaction fee" for this horrible service. I wish I knew the risks walking into this franchise. Click on the photos to see the raw tamales with the dough being so raw I could easily get it and form a ball or any shape with it. How can someone miss MULTIPLE tamales being this raw?! There's no excuse for putting peoples health at risk from ingesting raw products. NONE. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD. Be warned.

Food was less than average. We ordered the sirloin tacos and caldo de rez. The soup should be renamed to caldo de vegetables aka vegetable soup. In the to go container we received was large serving of vegetables and a little tiny piece of meat. The tacos were ok, but the rice was undercooked. This is not a reflection of the service rather the less than average food.
