Sabroso is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the El Centro neighborhood near the Mexican border to Juarez to get some basic Mexican food. Got a cheap chicken burrito for under $3. Food is displayed in the cases and you select what you want on your burrito. Burritos are not massive like Chipotle, more of a regular size. If you have a bigger appetite, I would recommend ordering two then. The staff there doesn't seem to speak much English, so it would help to know some basic Spanish when ordering. If you are looking for a cheap snack or meal while visiting El Centro, Sabroso fits the bill.

Small hole in the wall almost literally now that they blocked off the entrance and they sell only burritos wrapped in foil in front of the store. The vendor's English is minimal so you just have to point if you cannot speak Spanish. However if you have very basic Spanish skills where you can only say one word in Spanish then you'll do ok. Each burrito is only about $2 and you can fill up with just 3. My favorite here is the chicharron burrito and I also see other locals order this. The burrito is very budget friendly so don't expect 5 star quality.

Hello everyone that is trying to buy food at this restaurant. I called today to order food over the phone for a family member that has two days having issues with his bus ticket and is stranded in El Paso with no funds trying to get to the West coast. The person taking the order had a bad attitude from the start when I tried to ask her if she "speak Spanish" I asked her if she had soup/sopa, and she said no, we have caldo/soup which is the same thing in English. I made sure by asking her if I could place the order over the phone for my family member to eat at the restaurant, she said yes, She took my soup I asked her if I was able to order a drink with the soup and she said no that he was going to have to pay for the soup and the drink at the restaurant. He finally got there to pick up his soup and choose his drink in order for me to pay, and to my surprise they refused to render any services with the excuse of they don't take payment from debit card if the person is not in person......Here is the reason why I'm leaving this review. Every restaurant business strives in taking orders over the counter. Uber eats, door dash, etc have help business in the food industry to generate more business. The lying over the phone, the bad attitude toward a client, and the refusal to serve someone in need that has not eaten in two days is inhuman and racially profiling someone with your own ethnicity, just because he is not Mexican and can't speak English. Is like if your ancestors didn't struggle with when they came to this great nation. Racism against anyone shouldn't be tolerated. I hope the owner can assess this review and situation at their restaurant before they go out of business.
