Sabor

We stopped by this place as it was conveniently located across from the Plaza Theater which we had tickets to a show. My boyfriend had the Arrachera w/charro beans and he liked it. I had the Baja Tacos with fried fish and the rice (green) and they were delicious! I had the Pepino Fresco drink and it was okay, tasted more like mint than cucumber. The ambiance is nice, the waitress was good, the food was served fast. Overall it was good, we'd consider returning if in the area.

Came in for the brunch buffet. I was told there'd be a long wait since I didn't have a reservation unless I sat at the high tables. I was there for about an hour and not one person came in to the entire area w empty tables. I go up to go look into the containers and look around. There are 2 employees standing around, doing nothing, not acknowledging me, they wait till I open each container to find nothing in then and they finally say, "we'll have the food out asap". I go to the center side and do the same for the same people to tell me the same thing. Why not just tell me you aren't ready before I have to look under each empty container? These people have no sense of awareness or customer need anticipation. Further more, the food was mediocre at best, cold and flavorless. Each time I stay at this hotel I have a worst experience than the last time.

While on the second day of a leader summit, we stopped to check out Sabor. Located on the ground floor of the Paseo del Norte Hotel, we found it much easier to get into this one...but the reservation helped out. Compared to Ambar, down the street it was less busy.We were seated, and served water to begin with. Our server, Mario was friendly, and took our drink and lunch orders.The menu items and pictures of those items were available on digital parsWe started off with some queso fundido. The queso was good, but a tad bit watery towards the end For lunch I went with the Hatch burger, which was a two patty cheese, hatch green chilies, and it really good and very filling.The tacos looked good. Liz chose the three shrimp tacos plate, which came with a side of green chile rice. It did not last long on her plate.Unlike many of the other locations downtown this place did not have much on the non-alcoholic drink menu, and did not have a lunch menu or special, or discount for military.I would try this location again, sans the uniform.

We received raw wings and they did correct the issue but the favor was subpar. There was too much oil in my lobster Mac and cheese. Service was good and the vibe is cool but the food doesn't make it worth the cost.

Beautiful restaurant with classy ambiance and a thoughtfully delicious menu. Friendly and prompt service. Will eat here again. Really liked their chicken tortilla soup and strawberry salad.

The food here was excellent. I was a little hesitant because the yelp reviews aren't very good, but we had a great time. It probably helps that our family members were tourists visiting here from the Midwest. :) the server Juan Pablo was so friendly and attentive. He even brought out a cake for my fiancé who just graduated from medical school. It's in a nice hotel so the ambiance is very nice and clean. Enjoyed the visit for sure. The only problem I had was the tablet, we were just given a tablet and didn't know how we were supposed to use it until the server informed us how to. It took us a good 15 minutes wondering why we were using a tablet lol

Everything that I had ordered was so delicious and tasty. Best chicken tortilla soup I've had. Great customer service. Will definitely go back when I'm in El Paso again

Food was good! I tried their Smashburger- it was good and juicy, had a great sauce. The French fries were soft yet browned and welled cooked. I shared the grilled chicken with cheese on a bed of and succotash- it was SUPERB! The cheddar grits is a must have! The wine was Good-( a little pricey). Will come back!

I can't necessarily review this place because I never got served. Sat at the bar for just under five minutes without getting a water or an acknowledgement that someone would be with me. I walked away as this was the second bar I'd experienced this with in this hotel.

The Cesar Salad is excellent. The wine pour is super small at 4 ounces vs the other nice restaurants downtown at 6 ounces for similar pricing. Pancakes were burnt twice. Quite the mix of results.
