This was my first time coming here. The restaurant was clean. The server was friendly and polite. The service time was appropriate for the time of day and how busy it was. 3 stars because a place called RIB HUT has to know that the membrane absolutely has to come off the ribs. The ribs tasted great. I didn't NEED bbq sauce although that was good too. But they were tougher than they should be because the membrane. I will come back, and hopefully the membrane will be gone and I can give 5 stars.

First of all the food is great. It's the service that's weighing negatively on the three star review. The server eventually showed up at the table and proceeded to ask me what I wanted to order. I wasn't ready so "I" politely suggested that we begin with drinks. This person was literally whispering to me. I had to ask her several times to repeat herself. I asked for the check; she brought it and disappeared. Ten minutes later I decide to get up and go to the front host stand. Like I said, food is great. Service not so much.

Rib Hut has been an El Paso BBQ staple for as long as I can remember. In recent years they opened this 2nd location on the far eastside of town & this was our first time checking it out.Michael greeted us and immediately set the tone for the great service he provided. We asked a bunch of menu questions, ordered drinks & started with brisket nachos, which were good.BBQ plates for everybody with options that included baby back ribs, brisket, turkey, chicken & sausage. All brisket ordered was lean - 2 of 3 plates that had it came as ordered & that was our favorite of the meats. Turkey was also good along with sausage. Ironically, the ribs were our least favorite of the meats.For sides we had a loaded backed potato, hatch chile & bacon Mac, regular Mac, fries, potato salad & beans. Beans were probably our fav.Food was good - solid bbq option to consider regularly. Well most likely return again sometime soon for some tasty options along with the great service

Stopped by rib hut this afternoon for a bday lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon and not too busy. I was in the mood for beef ribs and that what I ordered, the beef rib plate. My order wasn't long, maybe 15 minutes and it was out. 2 huge ribs, a baked potato and ranch style beans. It looked the meat looked kinda rough, they were a little chewy and hard. I'm guessing maybe those ribs had been sitting awhile. Anyways I ate what I could and I was full off the baked potato and beans. I took the ribs home and gave em to my dogs, they didn't have any complaints lol.

So I was perusing my Yelp and I realized it's been years since I updated my review of this place. So I went by for a late lunch one afternoon as I was nearby and lemme tell you, as soon as I exited my vehicle, you could smell that glorious smoking meat out in the parking lot. Folks this is a sure sign you have found an Authentic Central Texas Style BBQ Haven. It draws you to the door like the Pied Piper, I swear. Even if you weren't that hungry, you're starving and your mouth is watering by the time you grab the door handle and step inside. Delicious BBQ delicacies await. It's slightly dark inside, low light, with booths and picnic style long wooden tables with benches, and a few 4 tips tables with chairs. And that bbq smell and smokiness wafts over you. But this ain't just any one trick pony. This is Tuesday. And their 16oz stuffed baked potatoes are in sale. These are giant russets the size of your shoe, baked till tender and fluffy and stuffed with all kinds of yumminess you can imagine. My favorite is the Chicken Fried Steak one, filled with a CFS, Cut into nice bite size pieces, laying in that 4 way spilt open tater, covered in creamy peppery gravy. With butter. Omg. Honestly is enough for a couple to share. And I was tempted but today I needed some 'Q. I got the small combo, with spare Ribs and Smoked turkey Breast. With an upgrade side salad and corn on the cob for my sides. Thank goodness some places still has corn on the COB! ALSO, A NICE homemade roll. And if you ask, they will bring you some pickles and and onions to enjoy with your meal, that's how we do it in Central Texas. My ribs we really good today, maybe needed a little more time in the pit, they weren't as tender as in the past, a little bit to chewy and definitely had to pull that meat off the bone, but I don't mind gnawing a bone and chewing some flavorful meat. Their glaze is nice with a honey kick of sweetness, but a dunk in their warm BBQ sauce, which reminds me a bit of Cattleman's, but amped up with fresh diced onions and some other spices, and those ribs really hit the spot. The turkey here is always moist, never dried out. Always great by itself, but also loves that warm BBQ sauce slathered on, and they make it in nice thick slices, not super thin. So it stays plump and moist on the plate. My salad was nice, they have the best homemade ranch in town. And the corn was on point. Sweet tea was perfect accompaniment to this lunch. This place can be hard to find, it's not actually on "Montana". You need to turn off Montana at the light just at the. Corner of Walmart as you're heading East. Come down past the gas pumps for Walmart on your right, them look left and you'll see the building in the pic to your left, and a driveway entrance into the little strip mall area they share just past the building on the right. Make sure you make that Turn off Montana, don't continue on down to that "Famous" BBQ place, Rib Hut, is the place you wanna go.

We had dinner there and I had forgotten how good the ribs were!We had beef ribs and brisket and it was delicious! The fixings were very tasty and the bbq sauce was excellent!The service was great and the atmosphere was cool and casual.We were so pleased we ordered food for a family gathering that following weekend!

EAST SIDE LOCATIONListen the food is good, not all but I'd say most of is. Brisket was very delicious this last time. The service was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. The ambiance was bothersome, you could clearly hear the kitchen workers, waiters and whomever was back there cussing and being obnoxiously loud. While I'm no saint myself I was with my family including grandkids and the F word is the last thing I want to hear while I'm enjoying a nice family dinner. I thought maybe the manager would have been proactive but he basically just walked around and didn't once go back there and reprimand.

So my wife and I were running around on errands and decided to go have dinner and a we discussed where to go we decided to go to The Rib Hut as it had been years since we last visited. We get there and are promptly greeted by Michael, who seats us and is very polite. My wife tells him we are craving ribs and so on, and he smiles and tells us, "Well, you guys came on a good day because it's rib night." Say No More! Both our eyes lit up. My wife ordered 3, and I ordered 2, and my wife ordered a side salad, and I got the beans and some jalapeños. I also ordered a Bloody Maria, yes, a Bloody Maria. It's the same as a Bloody Mary but made with tequila instead of vodka. Michael had never heard of it but hooked me up. It's delicious, and I highly recommend it over a Bloody Mary. The ribs were delicious, and I ordered 2 more. To say that we enjoyed our meal is an understatement as Wednesdays are now penciled in on my calendar, but for everyone else, it's Tuesday, ok?

First time coming here. Michael was our server and he made our visit very enjoyable. He suggested a few dishes and everything was delish. The restaurant is very clean. We will definitely go back and ask for Michael. We return where we are treated good and Michael made that happen.

The meat was dry both pork n beef. The mac and cheese was bland and potato salad was just massive potato chunks. This place is so laughably bad compared to the original location.
