I lived here for a little over a year. I loved it. The management was friendly. My unit was nice and spacious for one person. I never had any pest problems. I loved having the covered parking. A few times some tenants disrespected the covered parking rule but management was quick to address. My only complaint is the after-hour answering service they employ. The people there were never helpful.

Loved living here. Maintenance: Nearly always on the premises. I would put a work request in the front office on my way to work and it would be fixed before I returned home that day. Management: Never had a single issue with management. Communications were clear about things that were going on in the complex, and it was apparent that management actually cared. The only thing that would have made living there more convenient would be online rent pay. I hate dealing with checks. Property: Management was constantly trying to improve the property. I lived there for a year and a half, and during that time they installed solar panels, re-paved and re-painted the driveways, and installed a really nice shaded area at the pool with gas grills that were free to use. The pool wasn't used very frequently, so the noise was never an issue. The complex was fairly quiet in general- the average age of tenants appeared to be over 30, so that helped. Units: I never went in a different unit other than the one that I rented, so I can't speak for the entire complex. That said, my unit was really nice. The carpet could have used some updating- it was nearing it's last leg. The appliances were all in great condition, and the included washer and dryer were nice. The "free" internet was unusable (5mbps, really?), however they were switching providers when I moved out. I just paid for my own internet while I lived there. Never had insect issues, except for some harmless tiny ground beetles that came in during heavy rainstorms (and management had crews spraying the building as soon as that started).I moved out of LC, otherwise I would probably still live here. For the price, it is hard to find another complex that is as nice (and has a washer/dryer).

Renting here was horrible from the beginning. Almost all of the other tenants are college students so there was frequently loud music late into the night. Often the floor would vibrate from the noise during my childrens' nap time. None of the windows sealed well so we had almost constant cigarette smoke in our apartment from the surrounding apartments. One time someone threw up on the concrete right outside our door and it stayed there for weeks before the maintenance crew would come clean it up. Broken beer bottles and junk mail littered the common areas. There is visible illegal drug use as rolled roaches can often be found outside in the rocks and there were even several rolled roaches and holding pins scattered on our porch and in our living room when we moved into our apartment. The apartments are very poorly constructed. Walking across the living room made the entire apartment visibly move and we had to put shims under all of our bookshelves to keep them from tipping over due to the unevenness of the floor. All of the woodwork had water damage and the tile in the bathroom was peeling at the edges. The kitchen appliances were very worn but functional. Each month we got a bill for water which would occasionally be very high due to estimated usage and adjustments. Gas, waste water, and trash were paid. The was "free" wireless internet, but this was often unusable due to high traffic and low bandwidth. We could only rely on being able to access the internet between 6 AM to 3 PM after which it would be totally unusable. The office staff would often be gone during normal office hours, which made it very difficult to schedule a walkthrough when we moved out. We were moving locally and took two weeks to move, but the office staff was never available at a time we could meet for a walkthrough. We asked her to call us if there were problems and turned in the keys after we spent a week of evenings cleaning. We left the apartment in much cleaner condition than when we moved in, so we trusted her to call us if there were to be deductions. There were not calls. Two weeks after our lease ended, we got our deposit back with deductions for a cleaning crew ($80), oven cleaning ($25), and replacement of the stove drip pans ($20). The reasons given for the cleaning crew were fingerprints on the bedroom mirror, soap scum in the bathroom tub, dusty ceiling fan, tiny food particles in the dishwasher, and black marks in the oven. Now we may have genuinely forgotten the dishwasher, but I know for a fact that we cleaned every part of the rest of the apartment including the mirrors, tub, fan, drip pans and oven. That apartment was filthy when we moved in but we left it in much better shape than we found it. According to the laws concerning rentals, a landlord can only deduct charges for "excessive filthiness" not for the light cleaning that the disposition sheet described. These deductions are illegal. We spent the better part of the past two weeks leaving polite messages at the apartment office for clarification of the charges but only today, 2 weeks later, had a reply. The manager had a very uncaring attitude when asked to explain the charges and refuses to return the rest of the deposit. We have rented for years and between myself and my husband we have had 15 leases. We have never ever had any part of our deposit withheld. Don't rent here!
